I must admit I'll be watching it tomorrow night (I think Sean lops half of Chelsey's hair off while she sleeps) or have I missed it? Did that happen tonight? Its still pants though. Corrie is classier, funnier and on the whole better. I'm even getting into Emmerdale lately. I just find Eastenders so slow. Please, please - writers - write Dot out. Just 'cos she's old doesn't mean she's any good!

All your critisisms of EE match Corrie perfectly imo, ESPECIALLY about the writers trying to make jolly old working class laugh'. :lol: I can't belive anyone could critisize EE's comedy and like Corrie's completelly OTT slapstick utterly emabressingly comedy (if you could even call it that), And you think a child hating their parent is an original Corrie idea (hardly), and no soaps should copy eachother then? :lol: All soaps copy eachother all the time, just look at the whole Ashley/Clare story, not at all similar to the whole May/Dawn/Rob story or even more so the Sarah/Martin/Sonia one from a few years back?

If you actually read this thread from the start (not that I expect you to read 46 pages) you would I am sure, see loads of EE fans critisize it, seeing as the threads is about a year old, but not so much in the past four or so months, obviously due to the fact that it has been so good since the excellent ending to the whole May/Dawn/Rob saga. Tbh, It would'nt at all suprise me if you did'nt even watch EE, and was just a Corrie fan in denial of how utterly rubbish it's been lately (even the media are finally starting to take notice), and for the first time in a long time, EE is actually almost matching Corrie in the ratings (and actually beating it by a near a million on Friday, and seems to in general get double the amount of viewers for the digital repeat and over a million more for the omnibus), and has oh so clearly been leagues superior all summer, and it looks as though it will continue to be in the coming months looking at the spoilers for both. B)

 

Also, a scene with Dot Cotton in it, is actually FAR more entertaining that watching most of the planks of wood in Corrie atm, and no I am not joking :lol: :P

Dot is far better than the people in Corrie LOL
