June 17, 200719 yr She has been promoting a fair amount here actually. I've seen her on several programmes promoting it :o So glad its done well, isn't it the most success RnB/Hip-Hop leaning song of the year so far behind Amerie and then Ciara? Ditto! :D Actually it's been much more successful then Amerie and Ciaras new stuff. ;)
June 17, 200719 yr Kelly Top 4? :manson: Good grief, the chavs must really have been out in force on Saturday. :manson:
June 17, 200719 yr Author 5 (from 2) Mutya Buena - Real Girl [P] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/PRERELCDSMUTYA.JPG Chart Run: 11-9-2-2-5 [5 wks] Release date: 28-5-2007 Availability: normally ships in 24 hours Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: 1734402 Label: ISLAND Mutya Buena is back with her debut solo single 'Real Girl'. Having hit the charts with last year's George Michael duet 'This Is Not (Real Love)', Mutya goes it alone with this stunning introduction to her album, also titled 'Real Girl'. The track uses the instantly recognisable hook from Lenny Kravitz's 'It Aint Over 'Til It's Over' and lyrically Mutya confirms she’s still the no-nonsense popstar we came to admire during her time as a founding member in Sugababes. There's no doubt this sassy lady knows exactly what she's doing- look out for her re-entry into planet pop! - HMV Video here: -GC-4XUjM8M track listing 1. Real Girl 2. Naive Discussion Thread Here
June 17, 200719 yr I can't believe it though....I loved the song but I seriously didn't think she would get top 10 at all! :o
June 17, 200719 yr Ditto! :D Actually it's been much more successful then Amerie and Ciaras new stuff. ;) Yep. If you disclude Rihanna which is verging more on Pop, Kelly's is the 2nd most successful R&B tune of the year behind Kelis, no?
June 17, 200719 yr Good grief, the chavs must really have been out in force on Saturday. :manson: Oh my. Not this whole 'chav' labelling eh?
June 17, 200719 yr 9 Kelly Clarkson - Never Again [P] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/PRERELCDSKEL.JPG Chart Run: 9 [1 wk] Release date: 11-6-2007 Availability: normally ships in 24 hours Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: 88697110252 Label: BMG International superstar Kelly Clarkson is back and raring to rock, with 'My December', her third album, and the follow-up to 2005's 'Breakaway'. Produced by Grammy winner David Kahne (The Strokes, Bangles, Sugar Ray, Paul McCartney), 'My December' is Clarkson’s most personal album yet, all of which she's either written or co-written. First single, 'Never Again' is best described as "a 21st century idea of hard rock, incorporating loops and other studio effects to find a middle ground between the raw and the cooked". - HMV Video here (Remix): G4p2Oylw3Hg track listing 1. Never Again 2. Never Again [Dave Aude Remix] Discussion Thread here Kelly Clarkson's album will be released here in the US and it sounds like it's already a flop. First, her record company boss didn't like the sound of the album. Second the song has been a radio flop despite reaching the top ten on the Hot 100 mostly on downloads. Third, her tour has just been cancelled due to poor ticket sales and most recently she been a tabloid target mostly due to weight problem. Also, you are also in trouble when more people like the remix of your first single than the original version of the song you recorded.
June 17, 200719 yr Well chart shock of the year, its so un-Brit friendly and a shock to see it doing well. Mind you she IS better than Beyoncé so I am pleased. It also proves you don't need to release an Indie-Pop record to have chart success here...
June 17, 200719 yr Yep. If you disclude Rihanna which is verging more on Pop, Kelly's is the 2nd most successful R&B tune of the year behind Kelis, no? Beyonce & Shakira? :P Timbaland? :P Akon? :P
