Right ok.......everybody who hasn't see the film yet.....from what I hear it is essental that you watch all of the credits as their is a special scene at the end. I can't reveal what it is incase I spoil one of the big surprises in the film but according to what i've read there is a very special scene at the end.

The very last scene(after the credits)at the end sets up X-Men 4 if the director makes it according to what i've read.

Well i've not seen the film and wont do until all the massives have died down, but you know hollywood wouldnt kill a franchize if its working.

(however dont think it would work like a bring it on again 3/prince and me 2 direct to dvd thingy   )

I'm so peeded off that I missed the teaser as it is a mint teaser and basically confirms that there will be an X-Men 4, but i'll have to wait until the DVD come out to watch the teaser.

so is that the first issue single disc, first issue double disc or second edition reissue

Being a fan of the original comics where the whole "Dark Phoenix" story was taken from, I was rather disappointed by what the film does with it, two of the characters (I wont spoil it by telling you which ones) are killed off rather cheaply in my opinion; the kids, who should make up the foundation of the fourth film (if one is made) aren't developed enough as characters; the finale is the usual "Woverine Vs The Big Bad", yawn, I'm frankly getting a bit sick and tired of the focus continually being on Wolverine in these films; the inclusion of Angel seems a bit irrelevant as he's really given sod all to do; the film seems to be about a half hour too short in order to accomplish what it sets out to do; the plot and script seems to be a half-baked missed opportunity; Brett Ratner is no kind of replacement for Bryan Singer - the sensitivity of how the characters are drawn in the first two films are gone in the sound and fury of this rather empty vessel of a film....

Great CGI, some good acting from Ian McKellen, Kelsey Grammer and Patrick Stewart, and some great set-pieces, but it just doesn't really gel as a film, Ratner is nowhere near as accomplished a director as Singer and it shows....

6/10

PS - I really HATE what they did with Rogue..... <_<

Grimly did you see the final final scene after the credits?

I have a theory on Rogue as well.

No, I bloody didn't, didn't know a damn thing about any post-credits scene.....PM me and tell me about it......

Could you PM and tell me as well?

I personally loved the film, especially the ending when the pheonix showed what she could do. Got to say though i was a little disappointed at the lack of flames surrounding her and the actual pheonix shape surrounding her.

The only thing lacking in the film was a little bit of character development, if the film was maybe 20 minutes longer they could have developed the rogue/bobby/kitty love triangle, the rogue debating the cure and the beasts decision about the cure, he seemed to make it too quickly (btw the beast kicked ass in battle :P)

If anyone didn't stick around after the credits:

BE WARNED AS IT CONTAINS SPOILERS AND A POTENTIAL LEAD TO X4

Here is the link to the youtube video as well. I tried to embed it but it didn't work:

Also I think an X-Men 4 could well be on the way after the film took $107 dollars and is on the all time highest 3 day grossing films along with Star Wars: Episode 3, Spider-Man 2 and Shrek 2.

I just saw this today and it was an amazing film!!!

I believe the pheonix wasnt shown as it was more metaphorical rather than real but the film really was actioned packed from the very beginning. Constantly something happening and never throughout the film did I feel that the pace had lessened.

I saw it earlier this evening it was a great action from start to finish, Mystique lost her powers, and the loss of Jean Grey at the end, but that was her decision, she wanted out.

They could have expanded on the Angel mutant a bit, he only had brief time in the movie, and Beast was excellent, he had some of the best lines, in the film.

And the funny thing when the credits rolled up everybody started leaving, me and my friend stayed right until the end to see the teaser.

By the looks of things, X Men 4 will appear at some point, so I have to read up more on it, because as far as I'm aware of Patrick Stewart only had a 3 film contract, he made that statement on the Jonathan Ross chat show, not so long ago.
