Posted April 29, 200619 yr This has to be my favourite episode of seaon 2 to date with Sarah Jane and K9, great episode, great to see them again, the story itself was pretty good, hope they bring the characters back in a follow-up story Originally Anthony Head was one of the actors approached to play Dr Who instead of Christopher Eccleston. Looking on this episode, I think Anthony Head could have pulled it off to be honest instead of Christopher Eccleston And again Torchwood was mentioned
April 29, 200619 yr Agreed Mikey, it has been the best episode in the series so far, even though it was abit cheesey. It was quite a clever episode, showing what happens to the Dr's companions after he leaves them. Even though i don't like the idea of K9 i found it's apperance quite amusing. Anthony Head playing a superb villan, didn't liked the gelled back hair though, it looked more like grease. The ending was abit cheesey, the kids didn't help either, it made it even more cheesey. The quick referrence to Torchwood was nice. So far though this series hasn't been as good as the last though in my opinion -_- hope theresa few good episodes around the corner. This episode 7/10.
April 29, 200619 yr This ep is my favourite episode so far as well. Anthony Head was brilliant, and the storyline was good as well. Good to see Mickey joining the Tardis team and the Torchwood mention when they tried to hack into something (well something along those lines) and the Torchwood message came up. Next weeks episode looks a bit strange.
April 29, 200619 yr I very much enjoyed the episode :) The best of the series so far! That Sarah Jane was quite foxy too! Love the Torchwood mention as well. That Mickey makes me laugh, hes the tin dog of the show!
April 29, 200619 yr This was the best episode of Season 2 (so far) and probably the best episode since the programme has been revived. The story was excellent & brilliantly written & had the perfect balance of scariness & humour. It was great to see the return of Sarah-Jane & K9, whilst reinforcing the brilliant chemistry of the two stars of the show. Anthony Head was brilliant & to be honest proved that he could have done a better job than Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor, but his connection with Buffy & the Vampire Slayer series surely put the producers off. It was genius that the baddies were at different times thwarted by a fire alarm & a plug socket. 10/10
April 29, 200619 yr Author It was genius that the baddies were at different times thwarted by a fire alarm & a plug socket. That was hilarious when Mickey pulled out the plug socket
April 29, 200619 yr I agree it was a really good episode. It was nice to see Sarah Jane & K9 again, she has aged well. I thought Anthony Head was excellent as the main villian. Very good storytelling showing what happens to a companion after they left, and quite emotional too in places, and funny. The Doctor Who confidential on BBC3 was interesting. I hope this isn't the last we see of Sarah Jane and K9. I think there is potential for another appearance in a future series. 10/10 probably my favourite of the season so far. Next week's episode looks good, but the week after should be even better when the Cybermen return.
April 29, 200619 yr This has to be my favourite episode of seaon 3 to date What happened to series 2? :o I've lost a year! :P I agree - this was the best so far! I was kinda glad when K9 died cos his voice was starting to irritate me. Then the damn doctor has to fix him! But yeah - amaaaazing episode!
April 30, 200619 yr Someone has uploaded the full one-off episode of K9 and Company from 1981 here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5s4Fv3eVNs...%20Smith&watch2
April 30, 200619 yr I agree it was a really good episode. It was nice to see Sarah Jane & K9 again, she has aged well. My thoughts exactly when I watched an episode this morning with Jon Pertwee as the doctor! Did anyone else cry when they realised K9 hadn't been destroyed in the explosion??? It was so good to see him again!! Edited April 30, 200619 yr by Madame Cholet
April 30, 200619 yr This one was the best episode this series so far. It was a bit like The Demon Headmaster in parts, but it was good. Anthony Head was brilliant. I don't remember many past series of Doctor Who, but I really liked Sarah-Jane and K9. Hope they'll be in again.
April 30, 200619 yr Anthony Head is wicked. I'm almost starting to forget Giles! :( That dog was sooooo cute. :D "we are in a car" Great episode there, the special effects when those ceatures were going thrugh the school corridors were fantastic.
