Nash set to end Rihanna's singles domination

Rihanna’s record-breaking singles chart run looks set to come to an end this Sunday, with Kate Nash and Timbaland challenging for the number one slot.

Early retail reports suggest that Kate Nash’s Foundations (Fiction) will shade the number one slot, jumping 2-1, just ahead of Timbaland’s The Way I Are (Polydor).

Rihanna’s Umbrella (Def Jam), having spent 10 weeks at number one - the longest period of any single this century - looks likely to fall to three, ahead of a new entry from the Manic Street Preachers with Autumnsong (Columbia).

Outside of the top five, the chart is likely to remain rather static, although both Newton Faulkner and Nine Black Alps look set for top 20 placings, for Dream Catch Me (RCA) and Burn Faster (Island) respectively.

It is a similar story of inactivity on the albums chart: Paul Potts looks set to retain the number one slot with One Chance (Syco), although Timbaland’s Shock Value (Intercsope) is likely to climb to the number two slot, on the back of the artist’s singles success.

In addition, Garbage’s best of set, Absolute Garbage (Warner), looks set to claim a top five placing.

The FFAF song is definetly one of the best tracks on the album

Please end this Rihanna dirge at No.1. How people can say it deserves 11 weeks at No.1 is beyond me...the sales has been pathetic and it's long stint has really been down the drought of decent new releases. If the song had been out this time last year, it would have been No.1 for ONE WEEK!!!
01 Timbaland

02 Rihanna

03 Kate Nash

04 Groove Armada

05 Fergie

I agree sadly. :(

Funeral For A Friend have released their best single with 'Walk Away' but watch it flop <_<

I think MIKA will be top 5, well hopefully along with Groove Armada. I hope either of those are number 1 instead of Timberland or that awful Kate Nash $h!te.

I'm blaming Rihanna's reign with "Umbrella" for all the rain and flooding. ;)

I hope she drops down like a hailstone now. Go, Timbaland, and I hope Groove Armada are higher than Rihanna (not that that's likely).

Timbaland was just out physically this week, right?

In that case a definite number one. Hope Rihanna drops to about 15.

Oh fabulous for Garbage :o

Hopefully they can hold on.

Would've thought GA/Mutya would've been higher but I guess they'lll go the same way as 'Oh My God' now :(

Nooo, not Kate Nash! Timbaland for #1!
Groove Armada could be #5 behind the Manics. Music Week don't always mention climbers.
NO!!! NOT THAT NASH SONG! Eugh. It grates on me so much now.
Saturday sales could hope Timbaland though I suppose.
