August 25, 200717 yr The soldier WAS c**p, if he wins it then :manson: I know this might sound mean, but I also don't care about their little tear-jerker stories, I couldn't care less. I'm intrested in their talent -_- Oh and LOL I loved that girl who got really mad at Simon and starting swearing at him etc. Ledge.
August 26, 200717 yr did they have some sort of S Club power trip?? playing two of their biggest hits  That Paris girl sings like she is 20-something and Danni is walking around like she owns the show the b**ch
August 26, 200717 yr The soldier is kinda fit, but unfortunately his singing is average. He could replace James Blunt in the overrated-ex-solider-now-singing-boring-songs category, which is a good thing if you think about it twice.
August 26, 200717 yr Danni is walking around like she owns the show the b**ch Wtf? Firstly, what evidence do you have for this?! Secondly, its Dannii -_- I thought Dannii Minogue was supposed to be really nasty? She's certainly been more blunt than the others in my mind. She says what she thinks.
August 26, 200717 yr Wtf? Firstly, what evidence do you have for this?! Secondly, its Dannii -_- i really dislike her anyway :kink:
August 26, 200717 yr I don't think she's been as bad as the papers were making out. I was expecting her to be some mean b**ch.
August 26, 200717 yr It's good that she isn't though! She's fair and funny with it, you can't ask more than that.
August 26, 200717 yr I still haven't seen ANY distinctive personality emerge from Dannii. I really did want her to do well with this. I've always thought she was more talented than the bland Kylie, and I hated Louis. But from what we've seen so far...at least the original three have their own important rolw within the group, even Louis; he's the light-hearted joker of the pack, keeps things easy-going. Sharon's the conscience, Simon the straight-to-the-point guy. But what does Dannii contribute? Edited August 26, 200717 yr by Shoat

Sharon's the conscience, Simon the straight-to-the-point guy. But what does Dannii contribute? Are you honestly watching the same show as us? To describe Louis is 'light hearted' is frankly kind, though he is indeed a joke - his view of what's good music is frankly a joke. He disses Kylie and other successful popstars in the press - clearly he's forgotten he's the manager of bland cover group Westlife. He puts old biddies through because he think they're 'charming' - he's a completely retarded man! Sharon is decent enough at this stage but come the live rounds she has no clue whatsoever; she refuses to tell her own acts that they were amazing, brilliant, whatever (generally because she fancies the boys) and Simon is the only judge of the 3 who is actually honest with his own acts, and will say 'you were off key, i dont know if you're safe' or the like. Dannii has been nothing but honest with the artists, she's fun and a laugh but at the same time not delluded enough to tell somebody who can't sing that they're through merely because she finds there rotting 85-year old teeth amusing! If you can't see that Dannii is a whole lot better than that joke Louis, I worry for you :arrr:

I remember Dannii agreeing to put through the manic love guy through as a joke along with Sharon and Louis, in that respect, she's no better than them. I also never said I agree with what Louis says, what I actually said is that he keeps the group in a light-hearted mood, which most of the time he does, just look at the way he and Sharon interact.
August 26, 200717 yr In a few weeks time I have the dilemma: Do I watch 12 non entities that you wont remember in 12 months time & the egotistical comments of Simon Cowell (the man who turned down Take That & The Spice Girls and dropped Kylie Minogue and gave the world Robson & Jerome, the Teletubbies, Zig & Zag, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and he calls himself an expert!!!!!) Louis Walsh (annoying Irishman responsible for inflicting Westlife, Boyzone, B*Witched on the poor world and talking rubbish about major musical talents), Sharon Osbourne (OK at least she saved Ozzy Osbourne's career and was responsible for Slade's revival in the 1980s) & the Jacques Villeneuve of pop (i.e. not Kylie). Versus A proper talent show with real expert judges (who between them has choreographed numerous musicals and videos to over 100 UK Top 40 hit singles) who know what they are talking about and contestants this year including Jamelia & Kelly Brook. Lets face it it is a bit of a no brainer. :coffee:

September 1, 200717 yr Tonight :funky: Can this thread be pinned now that BB is over, in place of the BB discussion thread?
September 1, 200717 yr Was it my imagination or have I heard the next single by Westlife (a cover of Michael Buble's Home) subliminally played as part of the backing music on tonight's show???
