Home and away use to rule but has gone a bit naff now. Angie Russell has to be one of the best tv characters of all time. Josie Russell was also brilliant, unlike any other H & A character, they were fools to get rid off her. Amanda was just a terrible clone who couldn't act. Things do look at though they are going to turn around though as they are bringing back the original producer who also did all the sarah stuff, her who killed Noah and started off all the stalker saga. He's going to produce next year, it's 20th, as they want a year long anniversary rather than just a special episode.

They've said they're going to reveal some big secret as part of the anniversary which "will change everything we've known previously" about one of the longer-running characters. Well that pretty much narrows it down to Sally or Alf; at a stretch Irene or

Morag, who returns for Sally and Brad's wedding

.

And they WERE fools to get rid of Josie, especially after all the effort they went to just to get Laurie Foell back, not least the ridiculous storyline. Identical cousins? Please.

Identical cousins, that's probabaly on of their more down to earth storylines, at least they didn't bring her back from the dead, Peter, Vinnie etc etc or as a evil vision Ailsa or through a fridge door Bobby. Brad leaves soon, so don't think they are having a wedding? Pippa returns, again and Don Fisher is on his way back. They apparently got rid of Brad to free Sally up for the end of season cliff hanger!! I just wish they would hurry up and get the whole Rachel, Kym, Kit and Hugh storyline over with, although it is quite sad to see the break down of their marriage.

JOSIE RUSSELL RULED!!!

Can't begin to explain how much I loved that character and actress!

I think there is a wedding (of sorts) for Brad and Sally, but that Sally doesn't go through with it in the end, or something.

Thanx for the info Shoat!

I wonder how Leah'll react when she finds about Alex :o

It's about time Leah had something to do. For too long they've just had as the token background adult character to Drew's many dull and inevitable moments of stupidity. Which is absurd given she's one of the better and longest-running characters on the show, whilst Drew is a generic moronic teen who refuses to wash his hair.
I kind of have a love hate relationship with Leah, I just dont think they make the character gel, although her and Dan do have a very realistic relationship and do little things and say things to each other like real couples. I would say they are the most realistic couple in the show at the mo. Love Belle, she just doesn't work with that waste of screen time Drew. I would say the show needs some new characters to spice things up at the moment, not just repeat of characters from before. Am glad Morag is on her way back, just hope they give her a decent sparring partner, although drew's mum does look like she could be interesting. Hope she's not just a poor mans Angie Russell.
Drew's mother, talk about deja vu, was she the Doctor in Neighbours recently who played Charlotte, she looks too young to be Drew's mother.

Yeah she was in Neighbours. She doe's look too young, but I guess she had him when she was a teenager.

Drew's dad is Peter Baker right- I always forget if its him or Dan.

I know that Peter was suppose to be very young when he was born, I think 15 or 16. Dan's just his uncle, he's staying with Dan and Leah like Belle is with Irene. I mean Belle only came to the bay to find her mum and now that she has she's not going with her to the city! I mean as you do!

I watched it from its beginning until the Tasha cult storyline and then got a bit board with it as most of the best characters had gone, with the exception of Alf, Sally, Colleen & Morag.

Still I might give it a whirl sometime

Pippa returns, again and Don Fisher is on his way back.

:cheer: :cheer: I might start watching it regularly again then.

:) I have watched Home & Away almost all my life but One of the reasons i still watch it is the Eye candy. What other show can boast such georgeous characters. Well, there is Hollyoaks i suppose. Cassie, Matilda, Sally, Rachel, Leah, Amanda, Martha, Belle - The list goes on.
Belle looks like a guy now she's had her hair cut :(
but she is one of the characters on air at the moment. The show has gotten so boring! God it needs an injection of a decent storyline and soon!!

The next halfway decent storyline coming up at the moment seems to be the

Brad and Sally non-wedding, sounds like Sally starts to lose it, and even allows Cassie to shack up with the guy who raped Rachel. Be quite interesting seeing a non-perfect Sally.

The current main issue, as ever, is the over-reliance on 1) the over-populated teen crowd, and 2) the endless Jack/Martha saga. The latter is especially annoying, neither character is frankly interesting enough to make me interested in a storyline that's pretty much been going around in circles for two whole years.

I agree Shoat.

I am shocked at the amount of people who like Jack/Martha- The actress who play's Martha is just too awful for words =[[

Jodi Gordon (who mplays Martha) is FABULOUS :o

The Jack/Martha storyline is a tad dull..

Jules leaves :( Will he come back? He's rather nice to look at

I think this is actually it for Jules

Martha irritates me much more than Jack, I think it's the way the character NEVER seems to learn from her mistakes. She falls for bloke with dubious charms, Jack warns her off, Martha throws a hissy fit at him, Martha ends up being shafted by dodgy bloke, Jack saves her, her and Jack make up. Then they argue again, Martha falls for another bloke of dubious charms, Jack warns her off again, Martha refuses to listen again, shock horror Jack's proved right and has to save her from some life-threatening situation. They make up only to argue again two weeks later. And the cycle continues.
