May 3, 200620 yr i dont like rhcp but if rihanna isnt going to knock gnarls of number 1 then i hope they do, i hate crazy Last time there was a song that lasted 8 weeks at no.1 was Shakespeare's Sister with 'Stay' and the last time there was a song that lastest 9 weeks at no.1 was Whitney Houston 'I Will Always Love You' (which actually lasted 10 weeks at the top in total)

Yea, but all 3 songs are c**p - the top end of the chart is really bad as far as decent songs go at the moment, how Gnarls has managed on top for so long i don't know!

I somewhat disagree, all the songs at the top end of the chart are excellent. Chicane would be #1 if it had any airplay. Those above are also decent, they are all selling serious amounts, more in each position then any track this year after the Top3...so the buyers like them. Gnarls is going to be around for months, it's desending so very slowly. :huh:
