Posted August 21, 200718 yr Kanye eyes second week atop singles chart 21 August 2007 - 11:02:12 Source: Music Week Sean Kingston is set to see top five success in the chart this week, while Kayne West and Robyn look like to maintain the top two spots. Kingston has so far sold more than 7,000 copies of his single Beautiful Girl, while West is more than 2,000 copies ahead of Robyn. Hard-Fi are also expected to make it into the top 10 with their single Suburban Knights, already selling over 5,000 copies since its release digitally last week. Coinciding with the 30th anniversary of his death, Elvis is likely to notch up two top ten hits for his classics Blue Suede Shoes and My Baby Left Me, with a third release, Suspicious Minds, hovering in the Top 20. Kaiser Chiefs are also expected to enjoy a Top 20 position with The Angry Mob, which was released yesterday. Elvis lives with his compilation album The King, anticipated to hold on to his number one position in the album chart, and joined in the top five by Newton Faulkner’s Hand Made By Robots and Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black. MIA’s second album Kala is expected to enjoy a Top 40 position in the first week of its release, and after splitting in 1999 and reforming in 2004, Kula Shaker could be enter the top 40 with their comeback album Strange Folk. ===================================================== Singles 01 Kanye West - Stronger (2k ahead) 02 Robyn with Kleerup - With Every Heartbeat 03 Sean Kingston - Beautiful Girls Top 5 Hard-Fi - Suburban Knights Top 10 Elvis Presley - Blue Suede Shoes Elvis Presley - My Baby Left Me Top 20 Kaiser Chiefs - The Angry Mob Midas - Red Shoes Rihanna - Shut Up & Drive (D) Top 30 Maximo Park - Girls Who Play Guitars Eve (combined #24) The Foo Fighters - The Pretender Top 40 Linkin Park - Bleed It Out Top 50 Freaks - The Creeps (Get On The Dancefloor) (D) Calvin Harris - Merrymaking At My Place Inme - I Won't Let Go Athlete - Hurricane (D) Top 60 Remi Nicole - Go Mr. Sunshine Moby - Extreme Ways (D) Top 100 Kano feat. August 21, 200718 yr I have a feeling that Robyn may retake No 1 this week. Or maybe the suicidal fat guy may start out top 10 in the early update, then gradually climb to No 1 the same way Umbrella did. I can't wait to find out ^_^

Its probably going to be similar to Umbrella's first week out. Slowly creeps up the midweeks and may well take it by the weekend. I think Umbrella was No.8 or something in the first midweek flashes. August 21, 200718 yr I predict Sean Kingston will be top 5 in the mids today but will be number 1 by Sunday. Robyn and KanYe will probably stay top 3. Gym Class Heroes and Hard-Fi should be top 5. In the albums hopefully Darren Hayes can go top 10 in the midweeks, but will most likely fall to top 20 by sunday
August 21, 200718 yr I predict Sean Kingston will be top 5 in the mids today but will be number 1 by Sunday. Robyn and KanYe will probably stay top 3. Gym Class Heroes and Hard-Fi should be top 5. What a MISERABLE Top 5! I recon Kanye will keep #1 as he has the physicals advantage.
August 21, 200718 yr Author Sorry no Physical Chart this week the chart has been omitted from the MW magazine, due to a revamp of the magazine and changes on the MW site..
August 21, 200718 yr I think M.I.A#s album will do very well. There was a great interview and review of the album in the Metro paper on the bus yesterday morning and it persuaded me to buy it. :o As for the singles I'd hate to see that fat Kingston thing at #1. He reminds me of the fat kid who plays That's So Raven's brother. :puke:
August 21, 200718 yr Author So they will not publish the physical chart again? :o The site is going through some changes with new additions probably can be found on there.
August 21, 200718 yr The site is going through some changes with new additions probably can be found on there. To be fair it was becoming increasingly pointless. It was pretty much just a list of all the new CDs as new entries in the top 10.

I know but I liked to look at it cos it's interesting to compare and see how $h!t the physicals market has got. Thats So Raven Rules! I agree! I just don't like her brother. :/
August 21, 200718 yr Who the hell is Sean Kingston? I think Gym Class Heroes will go top 3 - maybe even 1. Not that it's any good, mind.
August 21, 200718 yr MIA’s second album Kala is expected to enjoy a Top 40 position in the first week of its release FANTASTIC NEWS!
August 21, 200718 yr "Kala" top 40 :o Who'd have thought it, unless I'm mistaken her last album didn't even chart anywhere
