Posted August 25, 200717 yr By Mark Jefferies 22/08/2007 X Factor judge Louis Walsh has blasted the new breed of boy bands such as McFly and Busted. The music mogul, who managed Westlife and Boyzone, said the groups who followed them were not in the same class. He said: "They were holding guitars and I don't think they were plugged in most of the time. "And they're jumping round the stage with silly haircuts, trying to be American, I don't really buy that." Louis told TV show The Truth About Boy Bands - on ITV1 on Saturday - that the squeaky-clean images were a front. He added: "Behind closed doors in their hotels they get drunk, they take drugs, they let in groupies - they're guys." Source:The Mirror
August 25, 200717 yr But groups of pretty boys sitting on stools singing trying to pass other people's songs off as their own...now THAT'S credible.
August 25, 200717 yr I can't stand him at all Yes Im a Mcfly fan but i really don't think he has the right to slag them off I mean they allways sing live and very good too they write all their own songs and get no credit for it what so ever yet westlife cover songs one after another,Mime most of the time and get credit for it so somethings wrong somewhere In the last few weeks hes had a go at Robbie,Kylie,Justin Timberlake,Spice Girls,Mcfly Yet does any of those acts cover one after Another?
August 25, 200717 yr well i hate mcfly but i still think Louis is an idiot. he only like attractive looking no voice/personality irish men that sing slowly and sit on stools.

McFly don't always sing live, i have seen them lypsyncing on many preformances. They also don't write all their own songs, they have preformed countless cover songs over the years.
August 25, 200717 yr He gets more pathetic by the minute every time he opens his mouth I can't stand McFly or Busted but they have 10 times the talent Westlife will ever have and don't rely on non stop tedious cover versions and they can play instruments unlike Westlife This really is the equivalent of Shane McGowan attacking male musicians for their looks and saying such and such is an ugly bast*rd Why can't Louis just crawl back under whatever rock he surfaced from Edited August 25, 200717 yr by Vic Vega

Mcfly perform live when they can some tv shows don't allow live performances They allways sing live at concerts They have only ever released 3 cover songs You've got a freind Don't stop me now Baby's coming back All as double asides with original mcfly tracks All 3 albums are written by Mcfly 2 of which feature no Covers at all Mcfly have done alot of covers as b-sides but then again alot of acts seem too Edited August 25, 200717 yr by its me
August 25, 200717 yr finally something I agree with from him He may be right but given Westlife's track record of cover versions, miming and not playing any instruments he is not a fit and proper person to be passing comment, he has no credibility saying it given Westlife

I have seam them lypsync on shows which other artists have preformed live, example is Loose Women (i think). The thing about them releasing double A sides bugs me, as they seam to do it on every single now, as shown by 4 of their last 5 singles being a double aside. This seams to be because of the new download rule as if people download both tracks of the double aside it is 2 sales for £1.58 (if they are 79p each) as well as there 3 format on the CD singles with the offer usualy being 3 for £5. They just seam so desperate for each single to get to number one and not come across as credable artists, as shown by massive falls each week between singles. Their previous 2 singles Sorry's Not Good Enough/Friday Night and Baby's Coming Back/Transylvania have dropped to 20 in their second week from numbers 3 and 1 respectively and both only spent 4 weeks in the top 75. The only thing i can see in their defence is they write their own songs, although they aren't the best songs and seam to have gotten worse since I'll Be OK

August 25, 200717 yr but mcfly r $h!t lets face it! Well yes, quite, and very eloquently put too. But is Louis Walsh really the man to point this out?
August 25, 200717 yr When will he just keep his mouth shut? There's no need to b**ch about other bands like this, unless of course you need to get in the papers :manson:
August 28, 200717 yr But groups of pretty boys sitting on stools singing trying to pass other people's songs off as their own...now THAT'S credible. Singing? I quite like McFly, but I thought their earlier songs were better. They also do sing live a lot more often than Westlife.
August 28, 200717 yr I am not a fan of Mcfly ...but really can Louis be serious ......Westlife/Shayne Ward ???? and he as the gall to mock Mcfly
