I've never been a huge Kylie fan. Like, I've always liked her (especially Can't Get You Out Of My Head which was just FAB), but now after hearing his, I just can't stop listening to it. I have high hopes for this album. <3

Obviously for every song, there will be some who don't like it. I think a lot of people expected a more disco-esque song and they'll take some time to adjust. I know it will definitely grow on a bunch of people. I just sent it to two of my friends who are absolutely in love right now.

This will (hopefully) get a whole new crowd into Kylie. ;) Should do well.

After a few listens and views of the video I do think its an ace song. I like her style of singing and the production of the song. I adore it when the piano's start to crash down in the chorus. I think its just not what people were expecting from Kylie. Which I think is a good thing that she surprised us. What I don't like is how its a clear copy cat move on Goldfrapp. An obvious and rather shamefull, copy.
I'm always on for Kylie making changes in her music but usually i like to like the result and saldy this isnt happening for me, this is definitly another confide in me for me as i never liked and still dont like confide in me, had it not been a kylie single i would have never bought it
Adore "Confide In Me". I love it when she tries different music/singing styles. This song is a fine example of that. It shows her versitility and keeps her music fresh and exciting.

I agree with keeping it fresh but confide in me is a no no for me and in general the whole km 94 album was a no no for i never listen to it

i loved the huge change for impossible princess and its an era i thoroughly enjoyed, again light years was a huge change following impossible princess and again hugely enjoyable

This song can only dream of being another masterpiece along the lines of Confide. This is still sh!t, 10 listens in.

Confide is amazing. Im still loving this new song the more I listen to it

I have listened to this 4 times in a row on youtube this evening, and I love it even more than I did yesterday.

I adore Danniii's new one too, so YAY for the Minogues :D

Um, it's the 69th most viewed video this week. :P It's the #1 most viewed music video from the UK though. :) And only one day into the week.

Still adoring this btw.

After hearing it 10 times, I can say that I quite like it... but I really hope there's a lot better than this on the album. And I hope a 2nd single as soon as 2 Hearts get out of Top5... Can't see this song last long...

LifeLight

Its a good song but I also cant see it lasting to long. I think it will go to number 1 based on the strength that its Kylie's come back song but I don't think it will be a huge number 1. I'll eat my words though if I'm wrong though! lol

I'm really hoping the next single is "in my arms". now THAT'S a winner!

Someone on Sayhey described the studio edit of In My Arms as 'much richer' in terms of the vocals, and more polished. ^_^

I keep forgetting that the version that leaked was only a demo! As a demo its ace. I can't wait to hear the finished product

The Chatter Of Popjustice (and beyond) - Kylie 'special'

Story filed Friday, 12 October 2007

Is every member of the Popjustice forums convinced by the new Kylie Minogue single '2 Hearts', then?

Well...

Spits Anfunny2003: "Nah, it's nothing like tremendous at all, even more so given Kylie's career/pop status. It's distinctly dull... I don't feel entertained by it at all really."

Snaps NoSignOfLife: "Heard Kylie's version several times and I still don't like any bit of it. The video's nice - visually."

Blasts Canukf***: "She looks awesome and peforms in the video very well. I can watch the video all the way through but I couldn't care less about the song."

Snips Samuel: "I hate this with a severe passion. Why, Kylie?"

Snarls Rhythmnative: "The Scissor Sisters could have given the new Kylie album a glam feel while still feeling like a Kylie song..."

Rants Me1979: "This is probably the zillionth time Kylie Minogue, one of the biggest, campest, pop icons of our time, has tried to be 'cool ' and still it doesn't wash..."

Yells Steve: "Goodness knows what the hell they are thinking with '2 Hearts'. She will never be a cool act; surely she should be aware of this by now and just play to her strengths?!"

Blubs Toxic84: "I don't understand, I was expecting much better. Not very keen on the video either at all."

Bawls DiamondDoggieBag: "I knew the c**p album name was a bad omen. It's not bad by any stretch, but Kylie just doesn't have the voice to make it really work."

Wails Varjak: "Those breathy vocals are starting to grate on me."

Well, what about elsewhere on the internet?

Says Jason D'Luv of Chart Rigger: "Am I the only one who was more dazzled by tracks leaked online earlier this year - such as 'Excuse My French'"

Says Artzboi of V.I.P. Music Only: "I was VERY Disappointed. .She has changed from the Disco Princess to a alternative Pop-Queen. The Promo-pictures hardly let us wait a sound like this… I can see this causing a gay-fans' heart attack."

Says xolondon of XO's Middle Eight: "I am not sure she even bothered to record the backing vocals! That does not sound like her on the wooh!"

And what about the Kylie forums at 'SayHey'? Here are just a few of the forum's thread titles - and remember this is a Kylie fan board..

'Doesn't it all feel a bit surreal?'

'Kylie goes Melissa Etheridge'

'She's slapped us in the face again'

'Oh Kylie what were you thinking?'

'What the hell?'

'2 Hearts - a load of effing $h!te'

'Anyone prefer 'Touch Me Like That'?'

'Wrong decision and they know it'

But those are alongside the following, more positive responses...

'Dancing all over the house with '2 Hearts''

'Anyone want a '2 Hearts' avatar?'

'Kylie: she's so brave and strong! What a leader.'

We think that officially counts as 'a mixed response'. Shall we have another look at this then?

Yep - it's definitely still one of the best pop singles of 2007. We honestly can't see what people are finding so difficult to get their heads around...

It was me who made the Sayhey topic 'Anyone prefer Touch Me Like That?' :P
