take that i voted for but its between take that and leona i dont think mc fly will do it but then again they will do some campaign to get number 1 like selling the single for 50 pence

I think it's between Leona and Take That.

I'll go for Leona because she will be performing on the X Factor, which has to be good promotion right?

i voted Leona, although i think it will be Mcfly, quite frankly i dont think it matters how good Leona and Take Thats songs are because McFly have a huge fan base to buy their dire songs.

Leona will manage it with her performance on X Factor.

McFly will be a close second after falling dramatically the following week and Take That at #3. ^_^

it should be Leona.

she has the best song

ive got a really horrible feeling mcfly will postpone or do some hideous publicity stunt that could get them to number 1 cos theyre obviously desperate to cling on to thieir musical credibilty (notice the little touch of sarcasm!!!!)

so i reckon it COULD potentially be a two way battle between take that and leona but i think take that will probably win, though ive voted leona as its the stronger track, but i dont think its the biggest battle of the year...

I think it depends on if people are willing to by class music or just any old rubbish.

If people by class the it should be:

1. Leona

2. Take That

If they buy any old dross then it could be:

1. Mc$h!te

i am a Mcfly fan

and i've heard alot of good reviews on their newsingle which is not normal

i have very positive feelings towards this newsingle and genually think it will sell well and chart longer this song is alot different to anything Mcfly have released before

as far as i know this newsingle will be on 1cd and download only and no news on a txt download yet but if there is one they will promote it like hell on theri arena tour which starts end of sept just like last year with star girl

plus its also half term week

heres Mcfly single-The heart never lies

Not the official video btw

No Mcfly have said they will NOT move the single release date

infact they are also sticking to the album release date on 5th nov up against the spice girls

Take THat will be number one-theres no doubt about it. The song is just gonna be huge.I reckon it will be bigger than Patience.

i think this may come down to who does the most and best promo, mcfly and take that are all known for doing massive promo to generate sales. leona is a simon cowell act and he will want huge blanket promo since she is his new cash cow.

mcfly: we know their fanbase support them only in the first week after that they tumble cause they don't appeal to the wider public. with boybands you have to ask have their fanbase grown up and out of them? they may be too pop for some teens who may have moved on to more credible MCR but many may still fancy them so they will buy for those reasons. you never know with mcfly they have a tour where they can appeal directly to their fans to buy their single plus if they do instore record signings again to attract their core fanbase teenage girls then they could boost their sales.

take that: the song is not as strong as "patience". question is have they lost momentum? their comeback was hyped and they had that sentimental documentry too. they will need to do a lots of promo to reach their fanbase women in their 20s & 30s, the mums and nans. will their fanbase wait for the album? this mentality could hurt their single sales.

leona: she has a mariah, whitney, celine like broad appealing track that covers the spectrum of buyers appealing to the x-facor audience which includes the important mums and nans buyers (remember the mums and nans are the ones that keep westlife selling). if simon went for an R'n'B track then she would not appeal to them but its about playing it safe and wide.....get those buyers that bought her the first time around to buy her again. and it will work, with all the promo she'll do plus the crucial x-factor (audience of 8-10 million watching) hyping her return and performance she should get #1

Mcfly's single isn't too pop this time and its also a ballad which they don't normally do so it could attract some new fans

Leona's promotion is gonna be HUGE. Like all in your face soon and the X factor performance will definetly give her the upper hand. No way will Take That's song be as big as ''Patience'' It was because it was their 'comeback' and hugely anticipated, they haven't been gone since May/June since their last single was released :P And If McFly get #01 over such a song like Leona's then people really don't have any taste
It's an interesting battle - I think McFly are the dark horses here. I very much doubt it will be Take That and I do think Leona will get to number 1 due to X Factor publicity.

Leona hopefully.

Mcfly are terrible, they annoy me so much  I hope their new album flops like the last.

I think Leona will easily be the winner.

I can't believe that Mcfly's core fanbase exceeds 40k, whilst Take That will be touring in Europe at that critical weekend before & week of release, so their promo maybe limited to that forthcoming M&S ad.

Leona hopefully.

The next album is out end of april next year they are taking their time with it to avoid what happend with Mito

Mcfly are going into a new mature sound as you can see with the new single

the video is not like their others its a lot more grown up and they don't go naked at all

The Greatest hits so far album(out 5th nov) is the end of one chapter of Mcfly

and the 4th studio album is a start of a new mature sound

Im gonna say Take That. Ive heard Leonas new song and although ıts good xfactor follow up sıngles dont usually do as well and I thınk the Take That sıngle wıll be popular as ıts not on theır current album.
