September 30, 200718 yr Turned into Sarah Cox, and they're playing only old songs between 97-03 I've heard Hear Say, Craig David, Robbie Williams, Black Legend. Pretty good stuff. I dunno what period JK & Joel have, but I'd imagine its 90-96
September 30, 200718 yr I know the outcome already as I have stuff to do and cba to sit around and listen to those two, retro or not,
September 30, 200718 yr Sugababes for number 1! Sugas to the top! :P They really deserve success, the song is amazing. ^_^
September 30, 200718 yr I must say I'm gonna have to listen again to Sarah Cox's show, cos I only started listening recently, and they've got my favourite era of music, 97-03
September 30, 200718 yr Can't wait to see the UK's biggest girl group on top again where they belong

September 30, 200718 yr I love Sara Cox  there is just something about her that makes me ROFL alot. She's perfection! She doesn't take herself seriously at all, so it's all good. She once told a hilarious joke about a Scottish monkey. Good times.
September 30, 200718 yr This week I think this thread could be chaos.... with regards the chart show countdown as I don't think they (JK & Joel) are going to do a normal chart countdown, but they still have time to play that massacre reworking of the Ben E King classic. :arrr:
September 30, 200718 yr 46 Joy Division - Love Will Tear Us Apart [P] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/FAC23CD.JPG Chart Run: 46 [1 wk] Release date: 24-9-2007 Availability: normally ships in 24 hours Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: FAC23CD Label: WARNERS To coincide with the release of the movie 'Control', the biopic of singer Ian Curtis’s life which reaches cinema screens on October 5th, 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' gets a welcome re-issue. The song dealt largely with problems in Curtis’s marriage to wife Deborah, but also reflected his general psychological unraveling at that time. 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' is one of the few rock songs in which the lyrics genuinely stand up as poetry, the deeply personal and private revelations contrasting with a coldly robotic and metallic musical background that owes much to the vision of producer Martin Hannett, who helped create such a huge, echoing background. 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' was recorded just two months before Ian Curtis committed suicide. It was originally released a month after his death, reaching number 13 in the UK charts in April 1980. The song has received many music accolades over the years, including being acclaimed as the 'Best Single Of All Time' by NME in 2006, and reaching number 179 in Rolling Stone’s top 500 songs of all time. As a final and fitting tribute Deborah Curtis had the phrase "Love Will Tear Us Apart" inscribed on Ian Curtis' memorial stone as his epitaph. - HMV Video here: BNMbuygEju8 track listing 1.
