TIPs Chart Singles Prediction Game

WEEK 42 in 2007!!!

 

Each week I will ask you to predict where 14 (mainly new) singles are going to be in the following Sunday's chart.

 

If it is a quiet week I will ask you to predict some records that are already in the chart rather than ask you to predict some single that you have never heard of & which will probably fail to make the Top75.

 

The point scoring will be as before (10 pts if spot on with your prediction down to 1 pt if you are 9 positions out. A 75+ prediction if correct will still be worth 5 Points).

 

If a single is pulled from release or non-chart eligible then everyone's prediction for that question will be void and everyone will be awarded 5 points. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IN THIS THREAD IF ONE OF THE SINGLES I ASK YOU TO PREDICT IS PULLED SO I CAN SCORE ACCORDINGLY

 

I will ask three bonus questions which require a Yes or No answer. Each bonus question is worth 20 Pts.

 

Therefore each week there will be a maximum of 200 Points to gain.

SLIGHT CHANGE: You have up until 09:00 UK Time on Tuesday 16th October to get your entries in (I'll be keeping the thread open), but any entries altered after that time will be excluded. (Unless the midweeks come in really early on Tuesday morning as they did this week) :lol:

 

Each Game counts towards the Overall & Average Score Leaderboards at the end of the year.

 

This is a REST WEEK from the Cup competition I've been running between the Points qualifying system and the knockout stages.

 

Also I think it is best to start the Last 32 Knockout on Nov 22nd, so that after Week's 41 results you have just over a week to know your opponents if you've qualified for the Final 32 & your possible route to the Final, whilst it's the chart battle between Leona v Take That v McFly v Britney v Oasis that week.

 

Chart Singles Prediction Cup Game

 

Stage One

For the next 6 weeks (Games 36 - 41) there will be points awarded for where the player finish in that week's Game:

 

At the end of this 6 week period, the positions of this Cup Leaderboard will be totalled up so that the remaining players go into the knockout stages in a Seeded position based on where they finish (ie. like Tennis competitions the 1st & 2nd seeds will be kept in the separate halves of the draw, so if things go to plan the favourite will meet 2nd seed in the final, after the 1st seed had beaten the 4th seed & the 2nd seed had beaten the 3rd seed in the Semi Finals,

 

Stage 2 - The Final 32 Knockout stage:

Therefore over the following 5 Weeks (Weeks 43 - 47) then 1st v 32nd qualifier, 2nd v 31st qualifier, through to .... 16th v 17th, with the winner of 1st v 32nd taking on the winner 16th v 17th in the Last 16 Round Finals, etc in sudden death weekly knock out rounds (Last 32, Last 16, Quater Finals, Semi Finals & Final).

 

(If during any of the knockout rounds neither competitor plays, then the highest scoring loser will make the next round; If there are any ties, then the person who posts their complete predictions (ie. if you edit your post then that will be the time that counts) earliest will win that round)
