Damon’s Weekly Chart #51

The Thrills keep hold of Number 1 for a 2nd week with Midnight Choir, but it was a close run thing, Bloc Party entered at #2 with one of the best songs I’ve possibly ever heard, Flux. It’d be amazing if The Thrills could hold Number 1 for a 3rd week. Rounding off the top 5 we have two non-movers from Young Knives and Lauren Rose, and also a small rise for The Hives, who have impressed me with their comeback single Tick Tick Boom. 2 weeks after I said Kate Nash would struggle to break the top 20 with Mouthwash, she makes a rise up from 10-6. 4 new entries this week come from Bloc Party, Timbaland, Land Of Talk and Those Dancing Days. Timbaland just missed out on the top 10, but may well rise next week. 6 chart entries aswell, from Amy MacDonald, Roisin Murphy, Paramore, Avril Lavigne, Freemasons and Shapeshifters. It took me a while to get into Amy MacDonald’s new one, but it fully deserves it’s entry at #8.
