X Factor winner Leona Lewis has refused to get involved in a showbiz feud with Jamelia.

R&B singer Jamelia recently branded Leona a "poor man's Mariah Carey" in a tabloid interview, before predicting that she would "fade into obscurity eventually".

"I don't know if she did say it. If she did, it's a shame, because the feeling's not mutual," Leona told Celebs on Sunday. "I think she's great. It's quite hurtful to hear that. As female artists we shouldn't be bitching about each other, we should be supporting each other."

"There are so many great young female artists - Kate Nash, Katie Melua, KT Tunstall," she continued. "Amy Winehouse is a great performer and I know she's been through some difficult times, but people should focus on her music instead."

Leona's new single 'Bleeding Love' is out now.

Jamelia and Leona will surely be seeing eachother at some point next Saturday, so hopefully J will set the record straight face to face.

Tonight rather.
Jamelia didn't say it, did she? She posted a blog on her site saying that she never said it?

Yeah, that's true. She's also said in interviews how it was all false. I'm suprised no one from Leona's camp have told Leona the real story though.

People from Leona's camp probably told her she did say it -_-
  • 2 weeks later...

no doubt, she missed lily off her list tho.

after all lily actually complimented leona.

waste of a compliment if u ask me....

well I dunno if she did say it or not, but its not like you can blame people for thinking it, she has given herself a reputation LOL
True, its a shame. :( She gets alot of undeserved b**ch comments.

Jordan was having a go about Jamelia on that chat show on Friday night

did anyone see it?

have we heard anything about a new album from Jamelia yet?

What was Jordan saying?

Some tabloid paper asked J what she thought about Jordan and J said:

"Jordan has sold her soul to the devil by telling us every detail about her personal life.

"She will tell you anything in return for some money. I find what she does very vulgar. This culture we're living in is bizarre when people like Jordan become celebrated, it's madness."

She added: "I had a dinner with a 14-year-old competition winner and her mum and nan, and when I asked her what she wanted to be when she got older, she said: 'I want to be the next Jordan'.

"I looked at her mother and her nan, and they were both smiling, proudly. I was disgusted".

J's just began working on the new album and it'll be out next year at the earliest.

Jordan called her sad, pathetic and cr*p LOL

and said all she does is slate people and she should just get her music out

LOL, it was in an interview with Gabrielle

Jamelia was meant to have been horrible about her so Gabrielle just said she is just a young girl

Well, 90% of the time it's made up anyway. But it's not as if Jamelia walks up to the press and starts shouting sh*t about folk. They're the ones that ask her the questions when they're interviewing her.

Speaking your mind in the media can backfire on you, it seems.

Shame.

J wasn't slating Gabrielle anyway, she just said that it was unfair of her to say what she said about the MOBO Awards.

And Jordan is the last person who should be calling anyone sad & pathetic.
i admire jamelia for having a pop at some of these wannabes. that "javine the slag" clip gets me everytime
