Posted May 14, 200619 yr http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/MCSTD40461.JPG Angel & Airwaves - Adventure Angels and Airwaves is the brand new solo project created by blink-182 guitarist, Tom DeLonge. His friend and former Box Car Racer member David Kennedy, Offspring drummer Atom Willard and Distillers former bass-player Ryan Sinn complete the line-up, creating sounds with the conceptual depth of Pink Floyd, the skyscraper architecture of U2 with cinematic and epic-sounding qualities. 'The Adventure' is the first single to be taken from the album, a great slab of anthemic rock that nods towards Blink 182 whilst simultaneously moving forward considerably. - HMV http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5627 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/9855966.JPG Busta Rhymes - Touch It Busta Rhymes, without doubt hip hop's most idiosyncratic personality, returns with his infamous delivery on new track 'Touch It'. 'Touch It', an out and out club banger was produced by Swizz Beats and also includes the highly sought-after remixes featuring Mary J Blige, Rah Digga, Missy Elliot, Lloyd Banks and DMX. - HMV http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5025 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/9856127.JPG Orson - Bright Idea Despite being tipped for the top by everyone from Q to The Sun to Music Week, few would have dared predict the rapid and unstoppable nature of California four piece band Orson's meteoric rise to pop music's pinnacle. However, when their debut single 'No Tomorrow' peaked at Number one on the UK singles chart, it earmarked the beginning of a tale of success which looks set to reach far and beyond both the UK and the year 2006, and continuing with the release of new single 'Bright Idea', a swaggering pop/rock track with a skyscraping chorus. - HMV http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5439 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/ZERO7THROW.JPG Zero 7 - Throw It All Away Instantly recognisable, yet beguilingly fresh, this perfect slice of summer pop features long term cohort Sia Furler with backing vocals by Zero 7's own Henry Binns, who makes his vocal debut on their new album 'Garden', adding another personality into the mix. It's as infectious as it is immediate and could well be the first soundtrack to the summer. - HMV http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/ROCKERS33CD.JPG Sunshine Underground - I Ain't Losing Sleep The Sunshine Underground are back. Putting paid to the rumours they couldn't better their last offering 'Commercial Breakdown' which the NME labelled "track of the year … already!", the lads have gone back into the studio to record 3 brand new tracks for your aural pleasure, produced by Segs and Steve Dub (Chemical brothers, Roots Manuva). After a series of raucous live shows at the beginning of the year The Sunshine Underground have left a trail of danced-out fans basking in their anthemic afterglow and are one of the tips of 2006. - HMV http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5646 http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B000ECY2XU.01.MZZZZZZZ.jpg Christina Milian - Say I It was on the recommendation of Antonio "L.A." Reid that Christina first met Cool & Dre. Listening to Milian's first single 'Say I', you quickly hear that she made the right choice. From the moment the hypnotic opening of 'Say I' begins to soar one realises that this is a brand new day in dance music. More than just a hit song, 'Say I' is an uplifting anthem that also features the southern drawl of celebrated rapper Young Jeezy on the hook. With its orchestrated music and a classic sample of Jackie Moore's 'Sweet Charlie Babe', the high energy of 'Say I' is pure sonic caffeine - HMV http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5443 http://www.7digital.com/shops/assets/sleeveart//7digUPC231313588224_182.JPEG Sunblock - The First Time 'First Time' brings the worldwide number one Robin Beck hit, first made famous in an 80s Coca Cola advert, bang up to date for the dancefloors in 2006 and features new vocals from Robin herself. Fizzing with energy and uplifting highs, 'First Time' will be rocking clubs in holiday destinations all over the world this summer. - HMV http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5437 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/9887011.JPG The Like - What I Say & What I Mean The Like are an all-girl rock band from LA whose sound can only be described as an exhilarating mix of Elastica, The Sundays, The Pretenders and Veruca Salt. Taken from their forthcoming album 'Are You Thinking What I'm Thinking', 'What I Say And What I Mean' is a raucous and infectious alt-rock track, with a heady dose of feisty attitude and clever pop hooks. - HMV http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5628 Angel & Airwaves - Adventure Busta Rhymes - Touch It Orson - Bright Idea Zero 7 - Throw It All Away Sunshine Underground - I Ain't Losing Sleep Christina Milian - Say I Sunblock - The First Time The Like - What I Say & What I Mean ===================================================================== Which track gets your thumbs up and thumbs down from this week's new selections, the one track that gets the most thumbs up by the end of Wednesday evening will be Buzzjack's New Record of the Week, Winner will be announced Wednesday evening I'm afraid there is no Thumbs down smilie :( Just use the vile smilie
