Posted May 14, 200619 yr Damon wants Liam for Gorillaz Damon Albarn has cheekily suggested Oasis singer Liam Gallagher could appear on the next Gorillaz album. Albarn enjoyed an infamous rivalry with the Gallaghers in the mid-nineties when Blur and Oasis went head-to-head in the so-called 'Britpop wars'. Liam's brother Noel once even said he hoped the Blur singer would "catch AIDS and die" - but Albarn has seemingly offered to put their dispute behind them by asking the Oasis singer to collaborate with his animated project. He said: "I'd love him to be on the next Gorillaz record, but let's wait and see how his band does in the next 12 months. "I'm sure he'll be all right on his own - he doesn't really need me."
