Lily Allen is to host her own entertainment show on BBC3, which will air early next year.

Entitled Lily Allen and Friends, the show will be based on the social networking phenomenon that helped launch her career, according to The Guardian.

The audience will consist entirely of Allen's online friends, who will also have exclusive access to behind-the-scenes footage of the show and will be able to sign up to have highlights sent directly to their mobile phones. Viewers will shape the show online by becoming Allen's virtual friend, putting questions to guests and even presenting parts of the show.

The show will feature celebrity guests, topical people from the online world, bands and unsigned acts chosen by members of the Allen network.

BBC3 controller Danny Cohen told The Guardian that Allen was an "important voice of her generation".

"Lily Allen And Friends will have its own unique identity as the audience will be intrinsic to the show's content via social networking," he added.

GET IT, LIL'S.

This looks as though it's gonna be REALLY good :o

There's nothing on her myspace about how 'online friends' are gonna be involved yet though.
