February 20, 200818 yr Author I'd be surprised if he had. He has only done charity things there but, I'd be happy to be surprised.
February 20, 200818 yr He's been there quite a while so he may have one of those 3 year permit things my son had. Or can you work on a student visa? US students have to work to put themselves through college. Maybe Darius was able to get a longer visa on that basis, because technically he was doing a vocational course only available in the US. He did say LA was the only place they taught the Meisner technique the way Meisner himself taught it.
February 20, 200818 yr Author He owns a property so he is allowed to stay in the US for 6 months each year.
February 21, 200818 yr again it will depend on what visa he has. We own property in the usa but use the visa waver....3months...saves spending a day in london at the embassy
February 21, 200818 yr Author He'd still have to apply to work - the resident visa things don't cover that.
February 21, 200818 yr So if he'd accepted the film offers, their producers etc. would have had to wait to see if he got a permit to work? That's not exactly a level playing field.
February 21, 200818 yr Author It isn't for anyone before they get a visa - or their card if they ar an American.
February 21, 200818 yr There have been a lot of changes to the Chicago cast but no sign yet of Matt Di Angelo. The role of Billy is filled until the end of April.
February 22, 200818 yr He's been trained, he can act, he's a fine dancer but can he pull off Billy's songs? Maybe someone's made him an offer he can't refuse. Is the SCD tour still on?
February 22, 200818 yr Author Or maybe it just didn't work with a 20yrold Billy. As bad as a young Mama.
February 22, 200818 yr Yeah but that young Mama got a load of press attention before during and after her stint. You just have to look at the coverage of the 10th Anniversary - it was all her, Duncan, and Denise Van Outen with occasional nods to Frances and Ruthie. Kelly got all the press when everyone who was there praised the older Mama, Sue? who'd been truly excellent and blew everyone away. That's all wrong.
February 22, 200818 yr Author The older one was brilliant. The best Mamma I'd seen. Such a great sense of fun.
February 22, 200818 yr I suppose it was the same with Darius that night. He didn't get any coverage either. I wonder how many will cover GWTW opening night and not mention Darius. I definitely wouldn't put that past them.
February 22, 200818 yr Author He didn't but, there has been comments from non fans who couldn't help but notice his stage presence
