aw Alisha was my favourite. I didn't think she could win, but I enjoyed her performances and she seemed nice. A lot of the crowd seemed to be behind her, she even got a little chant going. Hope should have left out of the two or, better, Leon should have gone.

I was thinking, Phoebe would be better off alone and therefore in Sharons group, she might have done a bit better, although I have to say Phoebe has a tendency to shout a bit.

I didn't see the earlier performances, only Alisha and SD and then the final showdown, so I can't comment for Hope's first performance. But on the showdown alone, Hope should have gone. Alisha wasn't great, but Hope sounded out of tune to me in a number of places. There's also the small issue that Phoebe's the only one with a good enough voice to cope at this level, the others are OK at harmonising, but when they have the odd solo line the results are generally awful.

But nice to see the public aren't buying into the show's blatant bias towards the group, surely Simon must realise soon that SD are his best chance in this competition?

Is Simon really bothered any more though? I mean every time we see him he looks so totally bored with it all - even his own acts. He knows last year's show is never going to be topped - in that they seem to truly have found a star from a reality show. And I agree SD are far better than Hope! At least they are a bit different. They are as annoying as the Brady Bunch but at least you have a feeling about them. Hope on the other hand are instantly forgettable.

Still, if Rhydian doesn't win the show there is something wrong.

Phoebe is a bit like Mel C... when Mel C was younger.

Phoebe is the one who sang lead tonight wasn't she? I thought she was the weakest link in a bad performance. Have these people never bothered to listen to a playback of their voices? Have they no honest and true friends who will just tell them "Look, I love you ... but you're cr*p".

I'm sorry to be cruel but it has to be said. This current series is dire (with the exception of Rhydian and I'm not too certain if that is purely because his competition is so totally and utterly pants). And someone jokingly pointed out before ... aren't the acts supposed to get better with each passing week? When in reality they seem to get worse!

Call me an old cynic .... but if this is reality TV .... bring back Opportunity Knocks!

Im really not happy with Alisha going :(

Hope are rubbish IMO, I'd like to see one of the other girls do more solo parts.

Well they certainly couldn't do worse than the one doing the lead tonight!

To a certain extent; Hope have certainly not improved much, and Niki's not really bettered her Celine Dion cover yet. I wouldn't say anyone's got WORSE as such though, and some have made a clear improvement; Alisha was a prime example, she was absolutely DIRE in the first week.

When are people gonna wake up and vote for talent in this stupid show?

Stop giving a stupid kid a false dream and get Leon out.

Mikey, I watch these forums more than I partake and you are a sound guy what with all the work you do but it bugs me sooooooo much that you seem NEVER to give Leon his due, it's always 'average, rubbish, dire' when the kid is doing some great performances - Fly Me To The Moon and Home showing great vocals and tonight's song showcasing a real performer. I know we all have our least favourites, mine being Rhydian, but I give him his due, 'Phantom of the Opera' was fantastically sung and well staged. I really hope one week you will appreciate Leon has a cracking voice!

He's not even my favourite I just notice it week on week!

ANYWAY!

Leon - Relight My Fire What a change from the nervy Leon of the first two weeks. Confident, well sung and above all, performed, I really hope he gets through a few more weeks and does an absolute belter next week!

Niki - Hot Stuff Choreography was a bit standard and boring but she looked very MILF and sounded much, much better than she did last week! I think it was a great song for her.

Rhydian - Go West Last week was well sung, I found no pleasure in the vocal this week other than that it was all in tune and was strong. There was nothing spectacular about what he did, whatsoever. I think it was a vast downhill slide from Phantom. Almost laughable for me.

Hope - Gimme Gimme Gimme I think Phoebe is getting a few too many harsh words. She wasn't incredible, certainly not as good as last week but she carried the vocal well. However I'm glad others noticed that the backing track contained 99% of the harmonies, I'd have loved someone to ask them do that acapella because I am starting to think they are all just singing the same basic tune. They didn't move brilliantly (bar Raquelle), choreography was all over the place and whenever they hug or hold hands no-one seems to hug Leah. I think there's tension and I think there's lack of talent and it makes me think it's all a bit fake. Considering Back To Black was the outstanding vocal of last week, too..

Beverley - I'm Every Woman I thought Bev had signed her own death sentence with this... but...back in the race!

Alisha - Young Hearts Run Free I would not have picked this for her. Performers around her were weird and it seemed a bit dull.. first time around. For some reason, I thought the second time around was spectacular.

Same Difference - Far from their best - what was Simon thinking?! But it showed their talent that they learned that overnight, what with easily the most and most difficult choreography of anyone.

Tonight:

01. Beverley

02. Leon

03. Niki

04. Alisha (combined)

05. Same Difference

06. Hope

07. Rhydian

Overall:

01. Niki

02. Leon

03. Beverley

04. Same Difference

05. Hope

06. Rhydian

I thought the bottom two performances, Alisha absolutely shat on Hope, I really did. I thought Louis might at least have taken it to deadlock, Alisha is to me one of the nicest, most real performers and like someone said, the one I could have seen making records. I hope she comes back with something. Good luck to her.

Overall I would have to go with

1) Rhydian - How can anyone can rate him bottom or even put the likes of Leon and Hope above him, on vocal talent the guy is head and shoulders above everyone else; I can only guess it is because people aren't keen on his musical style, but this is a SINGING contest people.

2) Same Difference - Vocally, they rarely put a foot wrong, they're better singers than a lot of the others. Their lack of popularity seems to be more about their image and cheesiness than anything else. Again unfair, when this is a singing contest. And they're by far the most enthusiastic of the performers.

3) Beverley - She really didn't deserve bottom 2 last week. I think she is suffering from being one of two divas left in the comp, whereas the others are all fairly unique.

4) Niki - She's got a good voice, but she hasn't really improved or worsened since she did "My Heart Will Go On", her last few performances have been unmemorable, and she's in danger of being left behind by the others.

5) Hope - they really need to work on their individual tuning, or just stick to harmonies throughout. Having Girls Aloud on the show may have done them more damage than good, the groups are so similar in image that it really rams home how much weaker Hope are vocally. Why do we need Hope when we already have GA, Sugababes, PCD, Spice Girls etc.?

6) Leon - he's not a bad singer, just not a particularly great one either. Everything about him is unmemorable.

My list would be like....

1) Beverly - She's personally my favourite, But there is no way she'll win. She'll be doing the west end, broadway, which i a shame really, because if she was releasing 30 odd years ago, she'd be some sort of world superstar (i.e. like Aretha Franklin)

2) Rhydian - He's gonna win this. He delivers the best performances vocally, but what puts me of is all this silly camp gimmicks, I seriously thought he was going to belt out the YMCA tonight.

3) Same Difference - Ok, I personally don't like what they do, but what they do, they're AMAZING at it. S Club 7, Spice Girls, Steps, Westlife, etc. etc. the Uk is full of cheese, it's a bit hypocritical of England who are turning there nose up at them.

4) Hope - Foul group. End off. Phoebe is a wicked singer though.

5) Nikki - She's awful and overatted. I found her performance of My Heart Will Go On appauling. She has some really really bad timing and pitching issues, she's just a bore-fest.

6) Leon - Disgusting. I cant stand all his edgy/quirckyness he has when he's onstage. It's like, just stand still, AND SING IN TUNE.

WOOOOO, girls aloud wooped every other past guest performers performances by a mile!

I can't believe Alisha went! In her first performance she hit a couple of bad notes, but she was much better in the second performance. Plus she's a much better singer than anyone from Hopeless.

Ah well, one of my favourites gone. :(

Ddont think so, they were good, but not the best guest ever.

I just think that Celines only live UK performance of 'Taking Chances' was dire, Boyz II Men were hopeless and just warbling at every chance and Shayne Wards boring song and pretty pointless performance was bad too.

this year really is c**p.

I really don't see the facsination with Hope, i thought they were good in the previous stages but since the live shows i think they are so boring, and the tall black girl is clearly the best singer why is she not being used more?!

Same difference are just getting boring now (not that i ever liked them anyways) but i think its time they did a heart wrenching ballad without smiling! - they really belong in butlins

Leon is alright, i mean hes good looking and seems like a nice guy, but theres definatley nothing special about him.

and as for Niki, i again don't see what is so good about her, ye she has a good voice dont get me wrong but their is no spark at all imo, she just doesnt look right on the stage for me.

So it really has to be Beverley (who is slowly getting better and finally proved she deserved to be here last night) VS Rhydian (who is clearly the most talented last year, even though i definatley wouldnt buy one of his records, but he must win!)

Pretty c**p night last night.

I thought Rhydian and Beverley were the best. I was suprised Hope were in the bottom two though, because I actually thought their performance was pretty good.

Alisha sounded a mess and I didn't like Leon's performance either. That should have been the bottom two with Leon going.

Next week I think we should see Leon go home finally with maybe Beverley in the bottom two as well.

I don't think I'll watch next weeks, Alisha was the only reason I watched it, as she was the only true "popstar" who I could actually see making records and lighting up the charts, as she has a better voice and a more interesting personality than Hope combined. Rhydian is more operatic, and he will be more of an albums artist, he will be forgotten of really quickly, he would be much better suited in the West End or something. Niki is absoulty dire, her first performance was really something, but she peaked waaaaaay to soon, she has got worse every week, I love Beverley, but she won't win, which will be a waste in my eyes, Hope are sort of ok, but it really is just Phoebe and some backing singers, Cheryl Tweedy, Madonna, Hagrid and Nicole Scherzinger, Phoebe would have been much better suited in Sharon's group, instead of the talentless, vulgar Emily. Leon is the most vile, as he thinks he is good, Dannii thinks he's Michael Jackson or Robbie Williams or something, she overrates him too much, he's like one of them nodding dog things that you sit on a dashboard, cross bred with a sheep. I love Same Difference, but they aren't going to win either.

What a waste, it's Mowtown week, and one of the only two with soul was just knocked out, it's going to be one big borefest on Saturday :(

I think that Sharon will sign her though, as she did say that she had something planned for Alisha, which she said she couldn't say live on air.

Good luck to Alisha, I will be supporting her 110%
