November 18, 200718 yr Author Thanks to Thor: Fastest selling debut album ever... * Nov 18, 2007 at 2:56 PM * Post a comment So after comfortably beating Take That to the number one spot in the singles chart a couple of weeks ago, Leona now easily beats the Spice Girls in the album charts. It is number one today and with sales of nearly 376,000 in one week it becomes the fastest selling debut album of all time. The previous record was held by the Arctic Monkeys with 363,000 sales in the first week. What a week for Leona, her management, everyone at Syco, and everyone at Sonybmg!! We are having a great run at the moment, and in fact the week before last we had 6 number ones...No1 single and airplay with Leona, Number one album with the Hoosiers, No1 Compilation album with Live lounge vol 2, http://gedblog.vox.com/library/post/...l?_c=feed-atom

November 18, 200718 yr Those sales can't be right, she was definitely on course for 400k unless she crumbled at the last hurdle, bad sales for Fri & Sat
November 18, 200718 yr Tbh, Leona had 265k or something like that on Wednesday/Thursday. I did think it was a bit stupid of people to think she'd make 400k in a couple of days...
