There is a version of "All I want for Christmas..." by Shania Twain. Every Crimbo I hear it in my city's local mall.

Not wanting to lower the tone but who remembers Fat Les " Naughty Christmas" from 1998??? No.21..Oops!!

What a tune that was!

By far the best one listed here.

I was looking at a list on Trevs mrib page, yesterday, where he had a top 30, of Christmas records that missed the top 20. It brought back a few to me. Especially George Cole and Dennis Waterman that include the line, "Is that Carol singing?" "Yeah, I wish she would stop!"

'What are we gonna get for 'er Indoors?'

Great track and, for once, Dennis Waterman appearing on record where he hadn't written and sung 'the theme tooon'.

I bought the single of that in 1983. They appeared on TOTP and performed the track live. (It's on Youtube).

It has a great B side called Quids and Quavers...hilarious!!

I think Mariah should re-record the song, keeping it almost exactly the same but with a more recent vocal on it and then release it.

That sounds totally pointless......

just re-release th original!

Anyone know why they don't just physically re-release Mariah. It would almost certainly hit Top 5!

I remember Hotpantz from 3 years ago, brilliant!

I live in hope one day that it will get a successful re-release, it has to become a bonafide christmas classic!

I can think of a good reason.

I can think of a good reason.
Mariah has left the label?

speaking of which... someone asked in another thread why Last Christmas can't be re-issued as a physical single - the reason is, George Michael forced the label to agree to never re-issue the single again after an attempt in 1986 was blocked by GM. A few thousand copies had been pressed and were allowed into stores but the label have to stick to the agreement - although this only applies to the UK.

This song never made the UK Top75 in 2005 but is already starting to become another Waitresses - Christmas Wrapping style underground classic......

Low ft Aimee Mann - Just Like Christmas

Snow Patrol performed the song with vocals from Mutya Buena on Sunday to 500 fans at London Union Chapel for Mencap's Little Noise show.

Well she's with a different label to what she released the song with, so I guess it's all to do with rights and legal issues etc. etc.

is there a video of this anywhere?
