Mira Craig was very sad to miss the final of BJSCX, widely regarded as the strongest contest to date. She said 'I put my all in, but obviously people just didn't connect with Headhunted. I am obviously very sad but I hope to take part in Congratulations with Mine All Mine if it gets nominated. I will be watching the final live in Kingdom Of Shadow but I'm not going to make a scene, I'm very happy for the 26 countries that qualified.' Mira was asked to name her predictions for the final and said 'I love about ten of the songs...I can't really predict who is going to win as it looks quite open, but I wouldn't rule out a shock from Kopecka, it's about time they had a win'. When asked who she would put money on Mira said 'My money goes on the money note, but I'm also good friends with Charlotte Perrelli, myself and Maria [Haukaas-Storeng]met her at the Eurovision earlier in the year.'

 

In other news, it has been confirmed that for the first time since BJSCVI, FSR Rontvia will not be sending a Scandinavian act to BJSCX1...

I don't think she sounds that bad on 'Mine All Mine', maybe it's because it's mostly Maria's song. :lol: I think it's weird, at the time I gave this a 12 and I didn't like 'I Kissed A Girl' or 'Just Dance' enough for them to get any points from me but now I would say I prefer 'Just Dance' to 'Mine All Mine' along with a few others from that contest. It's funny how things change from the actual contest for me, I don't think I've 'gone off' it because it's still amazing, I just think the others have grown on me more.

 

I just listened to your recap and I was shocked to hear that THAT is Andreas Johnson, the similar name got me thinking he was a bit like Andrea Bocelli, so when I heard it was that song I was quite surprised. :lol: It reminds me of a typical song to play highlights clips to, I swear it must have been used for that purpose at some point.

 

I also think I recognise that Thermostatic song from somewhere now that I've heard it again but I'm not sure where from. It's probably just from my memory from when I listened to it during the voting process! :lol:

yeah, I didn't give Just Dance points either but I like it a lot now :cry: some of the songs I gave lowish points to in this contest I already feel like they deserved more :( Mine All Mine is quite an instant track, there's not a lot of growing to be done :heehee:

 

yeah, that was indeed Andreas, a very anthemic song, it was on the highlights of Masterchef a few months ago :lol: I don't think that Thermostatic song would have been though, it's completely unknown as far as I know :o

Pixie heading to BJSCXI for FSR Rontvia

 

after Mira Craig's failure to qualify for the final of BJSCX with Headhunted, FSR Rontvia have changed their tactics slightly and can confirm that new British singer, 17 year old Pixie, is to enter the next contest with Boys & Girls. Pixie is currently writing her debut album with established writers and producers such as Kara DioGuardi, Babyface and LA Reid
