A few reasons,

 

Not so hot on the direction the contest is currently heading, i'm sick of the arguments over everything. [[iT'S ONE f***ING WEEK! GET A LIFE FFS]] I guess i kinda miss the old days when your National thread counted for more than it does know. i.e. GCC would be mine.

 

Some of the songs that are doing well are really making me question my involvement to. some of the utter $h!te that went through over Nevio and Gabby really had me confused.

 

I said at the time of the NF debate i'd hang on until i was back in the UK before i made my choice.

I would agree that quality is getting better, shame it's not recognised very much :( which is rather annoyin tbh.

 

I remember that all nighter, i'm glad i did it. We can't not have FSR Rontvia. So many people would have missed out on some amazing tracks. [mainly me] we'll see how it goes when i get back to the UK just as your contest starts. [we will participate, it's in FSR Rontvia, we can't not participate] Then we'll see. It depends on if i can find anything that i want to send.

The ASC today confirmed that Girls Can't Catch were likely to be representing the country in XVIII. The ASC say that a contract has been signed this afternoon after the ASC were able to 'reserve' the band following Eledan releasing the group.

 

Their sensational debut single Keep Your Head Up will be Ashton's 18th entry to the Buzzjack Song Contest and reiterates that the Federal Government, SNA and the ASC are chasing the countries Debut win.

 

The Federal Government told us that they are actively chasing their debut win and a chance to hold a full contest in the Republic. They are after a 'return on their investment' and say the economic boost would be 'quite nice'. The ASC and SNA confirmed that there would be a budgetless approach to a contest held within Ashton.

 

The Government started building a new chain of concert complexes across the south coast, the largest of which located in Morpeth Cove is rumoured to be able to hold 750,000 people. Allowing Ashton to retake the title of largest venue from Kopecka.

I think it is safe to say that you have shown yourself up to be a hypocrite in this instance.

I assume my song in the last contest is included in this list, even though I don't think your song was that good either tbh, doubt it would have made the top 20 in the final. Were you really partly thinking of pulling out because people prefer other songs to yours? :unsure: I say were because I'm sure you'll be sticking around now to host BJSC19 considering you've now got "the next big thing" for BJSC18 :lol:

Phil, you know how much I love you and Ashton, but in my opinion Keep Your Head Up would be ten times cheaper than Tinchymelle based on the fact that it has had a lot more hype, airplay and already has a video that is in rotation on TV :o if Ashton want a maiden win, this would be the worst way to go about it, bearing in mind your reaction to Rich sending Never Leave You which had had no promo whatsoever

 

please please please don't send it, it's a great song but for Ashton, it would be a horrible entry when you've still got Cinderella Theory and Tone Damli Aaberge up your sleeves :snif:

because it's about to be a huge hit and would be a prime example of mining the release schedule for an entry which Phil has always vocally (moreso than anybody else) been against...and from the huge rush to reserve this act, I assume there can't be many people on here that can't have heard this song yet (and if they haven't, they certainly will in the next two weeks), therefore Phil wouldn't be introducing a song to anybody, which he has also stressed many times is the main point of the contest :o I think he will get a lot of stick if he does send it (indeed already has from Mark and Rich) due to the comments he made last month about Nonsuch's entry last month, Jai Ho, Love Story and others...and have my fingers crossed that he is bluffing to prevent anyone else from sending it a la Nonsuch/Pixie a short while back
