hmm.... the brain damage storyline..... whilst Nicholas Holt plays a blinder when he's having fun and being an all-round arsehole.... this storyline shows his lack of acting skills and experience, I think - it just wasn't very believable. And Harry Enfield - why does he have a smile/smirk on his face when he utters every line? The queerbasher falling in lust with the gay chqaracter has been done already in the UK's superb Queer As Folk - and it was done with more panache, too.

I hope things will pick up throughout the series, but this first episode was the worst Skins so far.

like a Maxxie full frontal ? lol

 no

just did not match up to the first series at all. I just hope things improve

yeah not as good as last series and we saw to much of Tony and Max in the episode and not enough of the other characters. Acting was pretty $h!t in the episode. i feel sorry for Tony now becusase of the brain damge but he was a right arse last series. skins is quite sad and depressing now where as last series was more humourous. hopefully it will be much better by the end of the series. Highlight was bill bailey, what a ledge!

Yeah that was my highlight to! i love him! hope he's in more episodes!

i thought it was pretty good too.
The return of Skins drew E4 level with the terrestrials last night with an audience of 884,000.

A 5.9% share for the first of the second series, at 10pm, beat the slot average of 153,000 (1%), and another 160,000 watched an hour later on E4+1. Its audience was 60% 16-34 and 52.9% from the ABC1 demographic.

The show was ahead of multichannel competition in the slot and beat BBC Two's Pulling which attracted a poor 565,000 (2.9%).

The struggling BBC Two performance also outpaced the EastEnders repeat on BBC One and movie Underworld on Film 4, however.

Fantastic news.

And they've now moved it to CHANNEL 4 .. sort of.

The new series will now air on C4 every thursday after the E4 monday episode. in other words, the first ep will be shown at 10.30pm on channel 4 this thursday and so forth.

yeah, i'll probably watch it on channel 4 too lol.
I thought it was quite good. ^_^ This series seems a lot more down to earth and serious than the first though... which was kinda what was so good about the first imo. Still an alright programme though. :D
What the hell was the singing about
I enjoyed tonights more than last week ^_^ Good episode

Me too - good plot too!

I found that episode so cringeworthy..in a good way, but also a very bad way!

I think they should think about using more of the older characters though...some of them have barely said two setences so far this series.

Chris I think being an example of that?

That chick is insane.

Chris definately needs to be brought back into the spotlight, he's said like 4 things in the past 2 episodes yet completely made both shows - WHAT A GUY!

But yesh tonights episode was good, Sketch could potentially be a very good character. Be interesting to see if/how they will intergrate her into the main circle of friends now. Well I presume they will seen as she's gonna be a regular feature on the show.

Tonight's episode was so weird... I've got that annoying "then came the day Osama blew us away" song in my head though now. :arrr:
