December 15, 200717 yr i was waiting for all of the contestants to come on stage and sing a song like they did last year, when they performed "that's what friends are for".
December 15, 200717 yr No offence but are you trying to be a c**k on purpose or does it come naturally to you ? I suggest you read up on Russell Watson's career and his global album sales where he has been multi platinum in f*** knows how many places If Rhydian has half as successful career as Russell Watson he will have had one hell of a f***ing career Grow up :manson: Dont swear at me and dont tell me to grow up Your the one who needs to grow up - and keep your hair on CALM DOWN
December 15, 200717 yr yeah...russell watson isn't mainstream, but sells a lot of albums. i think that's what rhydian will go on to do. i can't see him being mainstream.
December 15, 200717 yr Oooh i do quite like it, much better than the UK winners songs ever are. Germany & Swedens popstars are generally much better though tbh. Try these oldies by them: Still In Love With You Something About Us Feel Good Lies Someday No Angel (It's All In Your Mind) Rivers Of Joy Let's Go To Bed ft Mousse T some have dated a bit, but still did reasonable pop songs
December 15, 200717 yr Dont swear at me and dont tell me to grow up Your the one who needs to grow up - and keep your hair on CALM DOWN You are keeping on rather. We get you don't like Rhydian - let it lie. But it is plain to see that he has talent and can sing well - whether it is to your taste or not.
December 15, 200717 yr LMAO THIS IS RIDICULOUS It's like nominating Paris for the Mercury or something. AMAZINGGG. One love to Leon x
December 15, 200717 yr Dont swear at me and dont tell me to grow up Your the one who needs to grow up - and keep your hair on CALM DOWN I am perfectly calm but I reserve the right to correct pishtalk like I did just now As well as being a major recording artist with #1 albums in Britain and America and elsewhere he has also had to overcome 2 serious brain tumours that nearly killed him so to have someone take the p*** out of his career like you did can't expect any different response to the one you got
December 15, 200717 yr I'm not Rhydians biggest fan, but I was praying he would win, he deserved it, he was consistant throughout, and all 14 people who were in the room with me when the results were annouced thought it was a joke Leon?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
December 16, 200717 yr If Leon wins I will visit every record outlet, and hide the cd singles somewhere else :magic: :heehee: :teresa: Have fun Mikey. :P
December 16, 200717 yr rhydian sings in the same style every week thats why i didnt want him to win, again it didnt matter who won to me as niki should have won i thought
December 16, 200717 yr What an absolute sham, I'm not Rhydians biggest fan, but I was praying he would win, as there would be nothing worse than that talentless rat winning, but ofcourse, living in Britain I realised that we all much prefer that to talent, so Leon has won, how gutted I am for Rhydian, I was going to buy his single, and I would have bought Same Differences aswell, I wanted them to win :( Leon is a plank with the charisma of a broken mirror, the personality of a cucumber and the vocal talents of a sheep, well done Britain (Y) On a more positive note, I thought Kylie was the star of the show :D Edited December 16, 200717 yr by DavidOSnowy
December 16, 200717 yr Rhydian is awful IMO. Throughout the series he's just been a total novelty act. He's going to go the same way as G4. Out of the last three, Leon was the only one with the potential for any mainstream longevity. Although, I say "potential", because chances are he's not going to last very long. Hope were the only ones I could see becoming big.
December 16, 200717 yr i think serious work will hav eto be carrie dout for leon to last,i know simon will not want nor allow another steve brookstein as it will damage the x factor name ,shayne ward has done very well leona has done excellent so simon will want a 3rd success,im sure dannii will do all she can also to make sure leon does as good as he can,im glad rhydian didnt win,he sounded the same every single week andi dont think he has a voice that would suit the chart he belongs in opera or something, the song picked when you believe is not a song made for a male voice so i dont think the song suited either especially when it was sung by whitney and mariah and whethe rwe are fans are not they have big voices, the 2nd single from leon will be interesting to see what direction they take with him
December 16, 200717 yr Just got a question : will the two other recoreded "When you believe" versions leak one day? Or it is locked forever and will never get listened??
December 16, 200717 yr The three biggest travesties in Pop talent competitions have been in FA1: winner David Snedden (yeah right, of course he was much better than Lemar & Sinead Quinn); PI2: winner Michele McManus (of course she was much better than Sam Nixon, Chris Hide & Susanne Manning) & XF4: winner Leon (how anyone can honestly say his dull personality-less performances were better than Rhydian, Same Difference or many of the acts that failed to reach the final is either tone deaf or a fool). What do they all have in common? Answer: Their Scottish nationality. As SNP's & the Scottish Parliamentary President Alex Salmond said today about the X-Factor result: "A great result for Scotland". Well it certainly was not a great result for talent winning.
December 16, 200717 yr Just got a question : will the two other recoreded "When you believe" versions leak one day? Or it is locked forever and will never get listened?? i don't think they will leak. they're probably locked away in a vault for all eternity. i want to hear rhydian's, and particularly same difference's, studio version of the song.
December 16, 200717 yr I am not Scottish, nor am I a young girl, nor am I a Kylie fan, and I wanted Leon to win purely because he had what I considered to be the best voice, it's smooth, it's interesting and it lends itself perfectly to the music I love. I thought all three contestants had a great final night but I for one am SO HAPPY with the result!
December 16, 200717 yr Before I start, let me say that I voted for Rhydian. -_- I'd just like to comment on all these Scottish 'paranoia/conspiracy' theories which always crop up after a Scottish person wins a talent show. He or she won because of the 'Scottish vote' etc etc. For goodness sake. Scotland only has a population of 5 million. We are outnumbered 10 to 1 by people from other parts of the UK. Are you really suggesting that only Scottish people voted for Leon? Are you suggesting that no Scottish voters voted for Rhydian or Same Difference? Did the other 55 million UK residents not vote at all? Is it only Scots who vote in TV talent shows? Is there a secret clique of 50 Scots who each phone in 5,000 times for a Scottish person? Sorry but the maths don't make sense. Leon probably won because he is a young good looking lad who appeals to teenage girls across the UK. And teenage girls are probably the main voters in these sorts of contests. Rhydian had by far the best voice. But to be fair he's a guy who has had 5 years classical training. Leon has a good voice which will improve with age and experience. He has had no vocal training at all. Up till this year he had never sung in public before. He comes from a disadvantaged background. UK citizens love an underdog. I'm guessing Leon benefitted from the 'underdog' tag as well.
December 16, 200717 yr He looks like a rat if you ask me. Don't get how people can say he's good-looking at all. :o
