After failing to realize that the word "f*****" in this context referred to the popular meat ball dish served with a gravy sauce and usually served with mashed potato & peas, that was and remains very popular in Ireland, the Midlands, South West England. However, it is very well known that at times of recession, or during the World War, a lot of offal and fat was included in the mix by butchers, hence cheating the consumer of the legitimate said meat dish.
