Is anybody here a fan of The Corrs? :) Because, I'am. ^_^

I think they're great and they are a very talented musician. I'm surprise that there's no forum

about them here. I know that The Corrs still taking a break now from their musical circuit, so there's nothing so important we could talk about them at the moment (except Andrea's solo career), but I just really really want to talk about them, anyway.

By the way, I just made a little forum about them.

The forum is called The Corrs Talk. So if you are a Corrs fan, feel free to join me there. I just made the forum two days ago, so there's no member registered yet and of course no topic has been posted. It's just a little forum and I'm not so expert to design a forum so I'm really sorry if it's not like what you expected. I believe there's so many of good Forum about The Corrs in the world, so it can't be compare with them. The forum is in English so, please come to join me if you want, and we can talk about them there. I'm also will post some latest news about them now. :D

You could register to the forum by clicking here. :) register

Thank You Very Much. :)

I'm a massive fan! I have all of their albums and most of their singles! Saw them in concert once in 2004 and it was the best thing I've ever seen :) Welcome to the forum
Its only been a couple of years since their last studio album hasn't it? That didn't do very well :(

Their last album was Home in 2005, it was an Irish collection as opposed to a proper studio album...

Having said that, I don't think that there is a market for their Irish-pop nowadays and they would struggle with a new album

Although in hindsight was a collection of traditional Irish songs ever going to sell that well?

They've still never really topped their first two albums.

Since Andrea's career bombed, I doubt she'd say no to a Corrs return, but I wonder if the others will. They've made enough money to have a comfortable life with their families... I'd love them to come back but I think they'd have to introduce a new edge to their sound if they want to succeed; playing it safe and sticking to their usual style would be a flop I feel.

Agreed Shoat...though I thought Borrowed Heaven would be up there with Talk On Corners and Forgiven Not Forgotten...a great album from 2004!

BH is amazing

I'd love them to do atleast one more album, "Home" is such a low to finish on.

I know it was so bland...apart from Peggy Gordon and Dimming Of The Day which were both lovely tracks
Yeah, those 2 and Old Town are brill, the rest are actually awful imo.
Borrowed Heaven will always be their best album! A brilliant masterpiece. I really, really like In Blue too. Not keen on the first two though, and I never picked up home, though I love the two singles.

:o Talk On Corners is my fave non-Delta album ever  so many classics:

So Young

I Never Loved You Anyway

Intimacy

Only When I Sleep

Don't Say You Love Me

What Can I Do

and then they added Dreams and Runaway to later editions that made it even better :w00t:

Borrowed Heaven was a pleasant album, the title track and Silver Strand were highlights. The problem I had with it was that so many of the songs were plain sound-a-likes. Hideaway, Even If, Confidence For Quiet, Summer Sunshine, Angel, Humdrum...they all pretty much had exactly the same production. And though Summer Sunshine managed to get them a top 10 hit which I wasn't sure was possible at the time, it did nothing to dispel the reputation they had in the media for producing bland, throwaway ditties. I'd have loved to have seen them release one of the more unique tracks; Time Enough For Tears perhaps? Sure it may not have gone top 10, but it could have given them a lot more credibility.

I preferred the non-Special Edition of Talk On Corners myself. The remix of I Never Loved You Anyway sapped the track of all it's energy, and the remix of Runaway turned it from a romantic ballad to relatively bland MOR.

I didn't like the remix of I Never Loved You Anyway either...however I did think the 1999 remix of Runaway bought it up to date...the original version sounds very dated now and the drums were far too loud

The remixes of Dreams, What Can I Do and So Young were much much better than their original counterparts

I thought Baby Be Brave was a highlight of Borrowed Heaven actually and would have liked to see it as a single

I can't really agree with you on any of this (except INLYA). Runaway may sound dated, but it still contains a lot more passion than the remix.

The remixes of Dreams, What Can I Do and So Young...I'd put them equal with the originals not ahead. What Can I Do particularly; the two versions both offered different vibes to the songs, it's difficult to compare.

Baby Be Brave was one of the low points of BH for me; I don't know why but I just found myself bored by it. It lacked any sort of climax or anything.

i loved the remix of Dreams (better than the original), and the remix of So Young was ok too, but the remix of What Can I Do was inferior to the original. Took away the charm of the original, without the "doo doo doo" parts.

As for Runaway, not sure which version I know, but it was a great ballad.

I like all their albums!!

But my favorite is In Blue Special Edition! I think it's a great album.

Actually, mixing the recent points about In Blue and remixes, I do have to say the In Blue album contained the ONE remix I would say surpassed the original; I know I will be in the minority here but I LOVED the reworked studio version of Radio. It sounded better for having the beefier backing track.

I especially didn't like the intros to the originals of What Can I Do (do do do do) and So Young (which just jumped in with yeah yeahs)

It's odd that we have such differing views on The Corrs...I know your favourite song of theirs is Closer but I wouldn't rank that one even in my top 40 :o I suppose the bit in Baby Be Brave that I liked was the 'confide in me' backing vocals

Really  I much preferred the Unplugged version, which to this day is the most well produced live recording I have ever heard...it never sounded out of place on the radio

At Your Side's studio version was better though
