January 10, 200817 yr A shame Freemasons have opted to choose R&B tempo for their remix, can't say I'm not liking it though - it has that 90s R&B swing feel about it (Jade, SWV, Adina Howard.... now we are talking REAL R&B!). I wonder how much the Mighty Masons are charging for their remixing services these days, I wonder... it works really well, i'm surprised more artists aren't hiring them to remix their tracks, after the high profile successes of "Deja Vu" and "Beautiful Liar" remixes you'd think record companies would be all over them. i think they are quite picky about who they work with but i'm glad they took on the DC girls i love those 90s R'n'B beats and remixes so this is an unexpected move by the freemason boys but they have a good ear and can handle this kind of production too. also check out the longer mixes of "work" cause they give kelly the dance treatment in the beginning before switching tempo in the middle to the R'n'B meets Bhangra fusion and then back to dance for the climax.
January 10, 200817 yr I love this, waaaay better than the original which is not something I often say.
January 10, 200817 yr I've NEVER cited in my personal chart whether or not something as a remix but Kelly Rowland who is No.2 in my chart currently is listed like this: 2. Kelly Rowland-Work (Freemasons Remix) this is pure and simply because I would never chart the original album version as its far far inferior in comparison to Beautiful Liar...while I slightly preferred the Freemasons remix, I also really liked the main album/radio version
January 19, 200817 yr Steve Pilton & Max Sanna remix is by far better. Now that's what I call a remix
January 19, 200817 yr I'm glad this is doing well on iTunes and I believe the Freemasons remix isn't on there yet? I really thought she'd flop and that the only DC member with continued success would be Beyoncé.
January 19, 200817 yr You should also check out the Max Sanna & Steve Pitron remix for the deep house heads. Yeah i like that. They don't really do much to the verses i don't think, it sounds almost the same. I think the Freemasons are quite overrated, i don't think they should be idolised as gods, which they seem to be, but still its ok.
