Posted January 1, 200817 yr Radiohead release their new album as a normal release this week. Will Leona be dislodged? Edited January 1, 200817 yr by Olympus
January 1, 200817 yr I would like to think so - especially as no-one will be buying Leona as a present now  I am off to buy Radiohead tomorrow - and I reckon a fair few Radiohead fas will be buying In Rainbows too ^_^
January 1, 200817 yr Yah, I think they might do. :o But I expect they'll only do it for 1 week... and then some bargainous sale album will take over as #1.
January 1, 200817 yr Aren't they the ones that gave their album away for free? Lots of people will already have it then :P Edited January 1, 200817 yr by darren
January 1, 200817 yr Aren't they the ones that gave their album away for free? Lots of people will already have it then :P Yes but only at a lowish bit rate. They have a huge fan basis and the album has been in the top 5 of nearly all the end of year "best of" polls.
January 1, 200817 yr Absolutely! Radiohead will blast Leona of the number 1 spot and besides she needs to shift!
January 1, 200817 yr I think Leona will sell about 25/30k and Radiohead about 40/50k I think Leona will shift 67k so if RH do around 40-50k she'll hopefully beat them and make it 8 weeks :) and tie with the Spice Girls for longest runner for a female act at the top of the charts
January 1, 200817 yr I think people are being way too harsh on Leona. She's not going to tail off just because Christmas is over and bomb down the charts Westlife stylee. TBH I think she might just beat Radiohead. I mean she's beaten everybody else from Take That to Kylie and the Spice Girls.
January 1, 200817 yr I've never liked Radiohead much at all, mainly because of Thom Yorke but Creep was special, they'll be no1 though I think.
January 1, 200817 yr I think everyone must have Leona's album now, there can't be many households that don't. But the first week in Jan is bound to be an ultra low selling week, so who knows.

Leonas beaten all the big hitters-TT, spice girls, britney, i dont see why radio head are any different. And people arent only buying it as presants otherwise why was it #1 7 weeks previous to xmas
January 1, 200817 yr Well, over 2 million people downloaded the internet version of "In Rainbows" as I understand it, so I reckon they could dislodge her.. Here's hoping anyway....
January 1, 200817 yr I think Radiohead will do it. I'm not a fan of them (I find them incredibly dull bar a few songs) but they'll sell very well. Even though they've given their album away for free, a lot of their fans will want to buy a physical copy of it to add to their collection.
January 1, 200817 yr I think Radiohead will beat Leona. I at least hope so, In Rainbows ia an absolutely fantastic album. The fact that it's nearly every 2007 best of list will help.
