January 1, 200817 yr I think that list demonstrates quite how out of touch Radio 1 has become with the public. The Pigeon Detectives in the top 10? Come on...
January 2, 200817 yr I don't understand that list. :\ Surely only certain shows must be tagged by Last.FM then?
January 2, 200817 yr There's something clearly wrong with the list as the poster above mentions. Take Leona Lewis and Bleeding Love for example - it's been A-listed for the best part of 9 weeks plus B listing for I think a couple of weeks before that, and it doesn't even reach 81 plays to make the top 48? That's only just over 1 play a day. Doesn't add up.
January 2, 200817 yr I don't think this scrobbles all shows - I mean no music has even been scrobbled today. I expect it only does some shows...
January 2, 200817 yr Radio 1 suck. The DJs are $h!t too especially Chris 'I Think I'm Hilarious But Really I'm A Stupid Annoying t***' Moyles.
January 2, 200817 yr Awful awful list with Robyn the only exception in the top 10 I mean Holloways Generator is on nearly every time I switch on Radio 1 so I'm not surprised to see it there but the fact is that the song has been released twice and still hasn't reached top 10 in the UK...
January 2, 200817 yr I think this proves how indie biased they really are too Good thing too, but they should realise there's other types of guitar musicians out there who are not indie, and play them a lot as well.
January 2, 200817 yr Author No not a good thing, a terrible thing. No variety whatsoever. No wonder everyone seems to be hating on Radio 1 nowadays

Im surprised Fratellis- Chelsea Dagger isn't on there for the 2007 list Edited January 2, 200817 yr by Harve
January 2, 200817 yr It's wrong anyway. Their top played song always gets over 20 plays a week yet last weeks top artist only got 16...
January 2, 200817 yr Chelsea Dagger was out in 2006, wasn't it? I think their only single in 2007 was Baby Fratelli.
January 2, 200817 yr The other one which got me was: 26 Rihanna – Umbrella 101 how clearly wrong is that figure?
January 2, 200817 yr It's because it's tagged differently. I've looked at this a while ago and there are various mistakes. Further down the list you'll have Rihanna - Umbrella (ft Jay Z) Rihanna ft Jay Z - Umbrella And they all count as different tracks. It's flawed.
January 2, 200817 yr Let's see how out of touch Radio 1's Playlist is - Here are where the songs peaked: 01 Kanye West – Stronger (#01) 02 Arctic Monkeys – Fluorescent Adolescent (#05) 03 Hard-Fi – Suburban Knights (#07) 04 Robyn – With Every Heartbeat (#01) 05 My Chemical Romance – Teenagers (#09) 06 Kaiser Chiefs – The Angry Mob (#22) 07 The Holloways – Generator (#14) 08 Gym Class Heroes – Cupid's Chokehold (#03) 09 Jack Penate – Torn On The Platform (#07) 10 The Pigeon Detectives – Take Her Back (#20) 11 Plain White T's – Hey There Delilah (#02) 11 Klaxons – It's Not Over Yet (#13) 13 Justin Timberlake – LoveStoned (#11) 13 Foo Fighters – The Pretender (#08) 15 Just Jack – Starz In Their Eyes (#02) 16 The Enemy – Had Enough (#04) 17 Scouting for Girls – She's So Lovely (#07) 18 The View – Same Jeans (#03) 19 Kate Nash – Foundations (#02) 20 Booty Luv – Boogie 2nite (#02) 21 Klaxons – Golden Skans (#07) 22 Fall Out Boy – The Take Over, The Breaks Over (#48)!!!! 23 Avril Lavigne – When You're Gone (#03) 24 Amy Winehouse – Tears Dry On Their Own (#16) 24 KT Tunstall – Hold On (#21) 26 Rihanna – Umbrella (#01) 27 Armand van Helden – NYC Beat (#22) 27 The White Stripes – You Don't Know What Love Is (#18) 27 Kaiser Chiefs – Ruby (#01) 30 Reverend and The Makers – Heavyweight Champion Of The World (#08) 31 The Hoosiers – Worried About Ray (#05) 31 Linkin Park – Bleed It Out (#29) 33 Mason Vs Princess Superstar / Mason / Princess Superstar – Perfect (Exceeder) (#03) 34 Armand van Helden – I Want Your Soul (#19) 34 Timbaland / Keri Hilson – The Way I Are (#01) 36 The Killers – For Reasons Unknown (#53)!!!!! 36 David Guetta / Chris Willis – Love Is Gone (#09) 38 30 Seconds to Mars – The Kill (#28) 39 Sean Kingston – Beautiful Girls (#01) 39 Linkin Park – What I've Done (#06) 41 Newton Faulkner – Dream Catch Me (#07) 42 Editors – Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors (#07) 42 Amerie – Gotta Work (#21) 42 Sharam – P.A.T.T. As Morrissey once wrote & sung about Radio 1 back in 1986 from the song Panic "Burn down the Discos, hang the wretched DJ's, because the music that they constantly play, says nothing to me about my life, hang the wretched DJ's..."
