Great performance  Made it back into the iTunes chart, currently #145.
How cute is that tweet

I was '1' of those as I tuned in for Mel (and turned off and went to bed after haha)

Yeah as soon as Melanie had finished, I went to bed too!

She looks incredible

I think we can give up on her ever releasing a GH tbh she just doesn’t seem interested. Releasing one alongside her autobiography (and calling it the same) was her best opportunity in years and she let that one go.

GH are supposed to be cheap easy cash ins, problem for Mel C is she doesn't own the rights to 2 of her albums. There is 3 options, Virgin cooperate and let her use and include the songs of those 2 albums, she pays for the rights to use them or rerecords those Virgin songs.

Option one Virgin probably think why bother, NS gets all the attention and streams as a whole album as it is, no point having the singles off it pushing a GH not NS. Options 2 and 3 cost money and defeat the point of a quick cash in GH.

Less than a week until Melanie's debut @ Sadler's Wells:

Happy birthday Melanie! :cheer:

I wish she would (or could) do a Greatest Hits. Would be great to have some singles from albums 2 to 7 on vinyl.

I actually agree with this, I think the time when it could have been a fairly decent seller has passed now. Had she released one in say 2013 around the time that Loving you was released I think she could have had her highest peaking album since Reason (or certainly Beautiful Intentions) and been a small trickle seller with her highest sales since Reason, but now that albums just don't sell anyway she is never going to make they money back.

I suppose it would be more of a vanity project that anything. I do wonder though how artists like Louise make any money from theirs?
