Here are our eight worst finishes in the 49 years we have competed -_-

1999 Say It Again Precious 12

1987 Only the light Rikki 13

2001 No Dream Impossible Lindsay D 15

2004 Hold On To Our Love James Fox 16

2000 Don't Play That Song Again Nikki French 16

2006 Teenage life Daz Sampson 19

2005 Touch My Fire Javine 22

2003 Cry Baby Jemini 26

Hmm so that includes 1999,2000,2001,2003,2004,2005 and 2006!

The only one absent from the past eight years is 2002, Jessica Garlick.

All those songs have been no worse than any others that years, especially Nicki French and Daz Sampson!

golly! my thats almost a bit of a tongue-twister!!!

It's not our entries, it the format.

Going straight to the final is a bad move.

The semi-finallist do better because they get extra exposure.

Just face facts the rest of Europe hate us !! <_<

I think we should either take Eurovision seriously & send in a top act or pull out of the competition.

Next year I would love to see us enter the Arctic Monkeys or the Sugababes.

Mind you, I know there is not a snowball's chance in hell of that happening.

well the former is never gonna happen and the later is only gonna happen if the tv ratings/reach are fast approaching zilch

We used to send are top acts in the past such Cliff & Lulu, but lets face it, only pop idol rejects bother entrying now :arrr:

Theres no point, most eurovision songs in the past garanteed a big hit, but in the 90s & 2000s the hits dried up, hasnt been a big eurovision hit in ten years now

do you know the placing in the tv listings internationally for the semi. in this country it was on bbc3 which would get only a tiddling amount to the main contest. if this happens all over europe?

was it spain that all the pop charts ended up full of idol stars?

Daz was like your embarrassing uncle. It's no shock he flopped

The last big hit was 9 years ago with Katrina & The Waves getting to Number 3! Shocking!

Let Jordan apply for the competition again, next year, that was a great gimmick
This is probably a stupid question, but has lebanon ever been in it?

Lebanon

The Lebanese broadcaster Télé Liban had internally selected Aline Lahoud to be their debut entrant, but had to withdraw from the contest after doubts were raised over whether Israel's entry would be broadcast in Lebanon. According to reports the Lebanese broadcasters had stated that they would show commercials during the Israeli entry, because Lebanese law made broadcasting the Israeli song impossible. This resulted in Lebanon's forced withdrawal. Aline had been intended to sing "Quand Tout s'Enfuit", written and composed by Jad Rahbani and Romeo Lahoud.
