May 21, 200619 yr It's not our entries, it the format. Going straight to the final is a bad move. The semi-finallist do better because they get extra exposure.
May 21, 200619 yr Just face facts the rest of Europe hate us !! <_< Edited May 21, 200619 yr by fiesta
May 21, 200619 yr I think we should either take Eurovision seriously & send in a top act or pull out of the competition. Next year I would love to see us enter the Arctic Monkeys or the Sugababes. Mind you, I know there is not a snowball's chance in hell of that happening.
May 21, 200619 yr I think we should either take Eurovision seriously & send in a top act or pull out of the competition. well the former is never gonna happen and the later is only gonna happen if the tv ratings/reach are fast approaching zilch
May 21, 200619 yr We used to send are top acts in the past such Cliff & Lulu, but lets face it, only pop idol rejects bother entrying now :arrr: Theres no point, most eurovision songs in the past garanteed a big hit, but in the 90s & 2000s the hits dried up, hasnt been a big eurovision hit in ten years now

Shocking!
May 21, 200619 yr This is probably a stupid question, but has lebanon ever been in it? I think they did last year, but got pulled out, I just quoted this in the Eurovision final thread.
May 21, 200619 yr This is probably a stupid question, but has lebanon ever been in it? Lebanon The Lebanese broadcaster Télé Liban had internally selected Aline Lahoud to be their debut entrant, but had to withdraw from the contest after doubts were raised over whether Israel's entry would be broadcast in Lebanon. According to reports the Lebanese broadcasters had stated that they would show commercials during the Israeli entry, because Lebanese law made broadcasting the Israeli song impossible. This resulted in Lebanon's forced withdrawal. Aline had been intended to sing "Quand Tout s'Enfuit", written and composed by Jad Rahbani and Romeo Lahoud.
May 21, 200619 yr Let Jordan apply for the competition again, next year, that was a great gimmick LMAO. Yeh Mikey. I quite liked that song - very novelty!!!!! Anyone know where to find that?

May 21, 200619 yr Let Jordan apply for the competition again, next year, that was a great gimmick after the post had got onto Lebanon i was thinking of Al-Mamlakah al-Urdunniyyah al-HāÅ¡imiyyah rather than Katie Price spot the difference  http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/da/Jo-map.png http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/f/f8/Jordan_71.jpg
