Soham liar Maxine Carr is expecting a baby with her new lover, The People can reveal.

 

The ex-girlfriend of monster Ian Huntley has told friends she is overjoyed at the prospect of becoming a mum - just five years after helping Huntley lie about murdering 10-year-olds Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman.

 

News of her pregnancy will pile on more agony for the two girls' parents.

And the birth of Baby Carr would cost taxpayers thousands more pounds as security measures protecting Carr from vigilantes would be extended to cover the child.

A source said: "The birth of Maxine's child will mean her lawyers going to court and getting the anonymity order extended to cover the baby too.

 

"The child will get the same protection as Carr for life - and we will all be paying for it.

"If she has another six we'll be coughing-up to hide them too. It's not the kid's fault but it's still a disgrace."

Caretaker Huntley, 33, got life in 2003 for murdering the two school pals in Soham, Cambs.

Carr, 30, a teaching assistant at their school, was jailed for 42 months for giving him a false alibi.

 

Huntley recently claimed he had wanted to confess to killing Holly and Jessica. But he claimed Carr slapped him round the face and ordered him to pull himself together before telling him to burn their bodies. Carr served just half her sentence before walking free in 2004. But the strength of public hatred meant she had to be given a new identity by the courts and given round-the-clock protection.

She was moved to more than 10 different safe houses in two years and her protection has cost taxpayers more than £1 million.

 

Last month it was revealed that a dozen innocent women wrongly mistaken for Carr have been hounded out of their homes by vigilantes.

 

But Carr and her current lover now live in comfort in a hideaway flat in England.

Four years ago Carr risked her right to anonymity by giving a telephone interview to a newspaper.

It's the tabloids that make the security necessary. She made a big mistake in falling in love with Huntley but she shouldn't be hounded for that for the rest of her life.

But do you actually believe ANYTHING Huntley has to say for himself? I know I don't... I feel for Maxine Carr tbh. She may have made a stupid mistake in covering up for him, but it was hardly her idea... She's done her time anyway, and like Craig said, she's entitled to a life.

God I get really annoyed about where my tax is going. I don't care about her if people want to get her let them get her, she should have the baby taken off her too.

Spot on Rob.. About the only thing you can really accuse Maxine Carr of is falling in love with the wrong man and believing his lies... Given Huntley's past for brutalising young girls long before Holly and Jessica, I reckon Carr had every reason to be sh!t scared of him... It's called "battered spouse syndrome", a stronger character preying on a weaker one, abusing them and emotionally manipulating them and basically bending them to their will.. So many cases where wives and girlfriends just wont press charges against a clearly abusive partner even though everyone around them is telling them that they should.. Why are we so surprised by Maxine Carr's actions...? She's an unfortunate woman, every much a victim of Ian fukkin' Huntley as Holly and Jessica, she just happened to survive is all.... Mind you, I suppose the press would've treated her like Joan of fukkin' Arc had Huntley actually killed her as well, she would've been the "brave martyr", not the "wicked witch"....

I'll say to you what I said to F1Mad.. That is a pretty fukked up statement Clare... NO ONE has any idea of the realities under which she was living, this was clearly an abusive relationship. She aint Myra Hindley or Rose West (who were active participants), she gave a couple of false statements (under duress from Huntley more than likely) and then recanted them under oath at the trial....

 

I reckon the press and society in general are actually treating her worse than Huntley in many respects, which is pretty fukked up if you ask me..... She took no part in the murders, there was absolutely nothing she could've done to prevent what happened, Huntley would more likely have killed her also if she'd stood up to him (he's already killed two, a third aint gonna make a sh!tload of difference is it..?), so why blame her for everything that happened...?

She hasn't killed anyone, she has not abused anyone, hell even Mary Bell became a mother of 2 and never did anything to her kids and she was a convicted child killer, a scared woman like Carr giving Huntley an alibi while wrong of her should not make her an unfit mother, she was scared $h!tless of the guy but at the same time blindly devoted to him. She was in GRIMSBY at the time Huntley killed the girls she was nowhere near Soham she had no involvement in the killings or the disposal of the bodies, Huntley more than likely made her give him an alibi and given his previous violent relationship I would not be surprised if he threatened her either with violence or being killed herself if she didn't comply, Maxine Carr is tiny and weighs barely 7st, Huntley was over 6ft and powerfully built

 

What she did was wrong but I do have quite a lot of sympathy for her

Spot on and i agree with you. Whilst i agree to an extent she made a mistake, what she did was unforgivable and shouldn't ever be forgotten. She helped cover up the murder, and i agree, we dont know exactly what happened or exactly what she is capable of. Covering up a murder as big as this one, especially a child killer, is unexcusable and just as bad as the killer imo.

We have no idea what she is capable of. Anything could happen to that kid.

 

Same could be said for any mum though, Carr and the kid will never be let out of police sight

 

I think a kid would be safer being bought up by Maxine Carr than being bought up by some of the chav scum parents we see about these days

Much as this will probably contradict my previous post, i agree with you there :lol: Parents these days have no idea how to parent, i suppose Maxine could have an advantage (very contradictory i know)
