Usually they help singles quite a bit especially singles that will be released around the time for artists who have at least been nominated for awards but to be honest ANY awards shows usually help Album sales more!

February 15, 200818 yr Duffy seemed to come from nowhere and isnt it got two weeks before physical release? Also feel sorry for Nickleback, so close yet so far. Think H2O will be number one next week though and then Duffy will take it back the following week.
February 15, 200818 yr I'm so happy. :D It's like last year when Rihanna stopped that awful Maroon 5 song from being #1, now Nickelback is being denied. Hallelujah! :cheer: Duffy definitely deserves it.

February 15, 200818 yr Author Good news for Duffy, but its in danger of dropping by tomorrow, its got no physicals behind it, plus its half term at the end of today, so it could be any of the top 3 by Sunday, its going to be a close finish, its a shame I've got no sales, to see how close the top 3 are, working on a new source as well, but that has let me down.
February 15, 200818 yr Duffy is 100% certain to stay at #1 by Sunday now I'd say, what with the rate it's sales have been growing all week. Nickelback's physicals are far from impressive so that won't matter much.
