Tbh I still don't reckon it will go top 10, I think Ant & Dec will secure it a top 20 place though ^_^

It better go Top 40 by Sunday! And I agree with Simon, won't go Top 10 unfortunately, Top 15 at best :(

I think it will miss top 10 for the simple reasons that its only being released on one cd and i dont think it will get enough downloads either. I think it could scrape the top 10 if it manages to get top 10 on itunes.

 

Change was doing better on downloads than denial is and change was also released on two discs as well as the usb (which i know didnt sell great but every little helps)

 

And i know they are doing ant and dec but change was on strictly and thats a much bigger show. It should easily make top 20 though.

Chart position doesn't always mean good sales

But it still looks better to the casual fan or member of the public if it's a Top 10. And I think it will be.

Exactly i wasn't saying it was better just that a higher position looks better for their reputation, especially if they want radio 1's support.

they've had the most top 40 hits with original songs since the supremes (SP), i don;t think denial charting at #12 will hurt their rep

The thing is, its not difficult to get top 40, in most cases that can just be your fanbase buying the single.

 

Top 10 (or single figure chart positions) are the true indication of a proper HIT.
