Well Follow Me Home never got into the top 100 on iTunes when it was released  but yet it still got top 40 so they must have a harcore fanbase as by then most of them had the song on the album.

Sugababes fanbase is nothing like that of take that, westlife, mcfly, girls aloud. With the sugababes its more about the quality of the music. Thats why they get some number 1's (good tracks) and some flops (follow me home and soul sound).

They might have some fans but like i said, i wouldnt class it as a large fanbase (like the ones mentioned above)

take that and the spice girls had the 90's effect.

when TT came back, they gained a lot of new fans, and they regained their old fans hence the huge fan base.

i can' explain pestlife or mcfly. i imagine old folk for the former and 10year olds for the latter.

as for GA, people buy the singles coz the albums are full of c**p

Teenage girls fanbase for McFly

As for Westlife it will be the teenagers who liked them in 1999-2000 who are now young 20 odd year olds

LOL the most successful girl band in UK history tsktsk  Spice Girls will never be overtaken :smoke:

Success has a lot to do with consistency though as its quite difficult to have consistency in todays music industry (SG headlines?)

Anyway thats their "label" now, no point in arguing about a fact.

Woah ... how rude?!

I think most of the time how high it is on iTunes indicates how well it will do when released physically - but there can be exeptions.

Right, there's already a GA v Suga's thread in pop ... lets not make this another one with bitchy comments.

The simple solution is that if you aint a fan, not to come into that artists' forum but Robintime seems not to realise this.

Very true.

All i did was mention about a few acts fanbase being bigger than the sugababes (which they are) and someone (a moderator) decided to starting being nasty about them.

I love the sugababes thanks.

;)

Hows its airplay?

There's an airplay thread ;)

Yeh i looked earlier and was sure it went from 29 to 32 on pop?

In a way, its good though, we dont want it to peak too early.
