Posted February 21, 200817 yr Just thought I'd post this as I've never seen a retrospective compilation of this decade so far, so its interesting to see what songs compilers with the smaller licenses pick (for example a Now compilation would include 100 of the biggest selling tracks of the decade) http://www.play.com/Music/CD/4-/5172987/10...0s/Product.html I've bolded some of the songs that I feel are more interesting choices Disc 1 Uniting Nations - Out Of Touch Puretone - Addicted To Bass Rui Da Silva Featuring Cassandra - Touch Me Five - Let's Dance Backstreet Boys - Shape Of My Heart *NSYNC - Girlfriend A1 - Same Old Brand New You The Calling - Wherever You Will Go Toploader - Time Of My Life Feeder - Buck Rogers Super Furry Animals - Rings Around The World Suede - Positivity Moloko - The Time Is Now Groove Armada - I See You Baby Fatboy Slim - Weapon Of Choice X-Press 2 - Lazy Blu Cantrell - Hit 'Em Up Style (Oops) Donell Jones - U Know What's Up Macy Gray - When I See You Wu Tang Clan - Gravel Pit Disc 2 Hi_Tack - Say Say Say Nina Simone Vs Groovefinder - Ain't Got No I Got Life Lou Reed - Satellite Of Love `04 Wayne Wonder - No Letting Go Toni Braxton - He Wasn't Man Enough The 411 - On My Knees Eamon - Love Them *NYSNC - Bye Bye Bye Charlotte Church - Crazy Chick Sarah Whatmore - When I Lost You Gareth Gates - Sunshine Abs - What You Got Macy Gray - Why Didn't You Call Me BBMak - Back Here Savage Garden - Affirmation G4 - Bohemian Rhapsody Heather Small - Proud Lee Ryan - Army Of Lovers Rooster - Come Get Some Ashley Hamilton - Wimmin' Disc 3 Mary Mary - Shackles (Praise You) Wheatus - A Little Respect Bowling For Soup - 1985 Five - Don't Wanna Let You Go Backstreet Boys - Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely A1 - Like A Rose Big Brovaz - Nu Flow TLC - Girl Talk Sarah Whatmore - Automatic Chico - It's Chico Time Cheeky Girls - Take Your Shoes Off O-Zone - Dragostea Din Tei True Steppers & Dane Bowers Featuring Victoria Beckham - Out Of Your Mind BBMak - Still On Your Side Girl Thing - Last One Standing Made In London - Dirty Water  Rosie Ribbons - Blink Rooster - Staring At The Sun Lil' Chris - Checkin' It Out Lordi - Hard Rock Hallelujah Disc 4 Basement Jaxx Featuring Lisa Kekaula - Good Luck Primal Scream - Country Girl Mooney Suzuki - Alive & Amplified Super Furry Animals - Golden Retriever Feeder - Tumble & Fall Suede - Attitude Reef - Set The Record Straight Spiritualized - Do It All Over Again José Gonzáles - Heartbeats Nizlopi - JCB Song Toploader - Achilles Heel Finley Quaye - Spiritualized Moloko - Pure Pleasure Seeker Kosheen - Hide U Fatboy Slim Featuring Macy Gray - Demons Groove Armada - Super Stylin' I Monster - Daydream In Blue Mint Royale Featuring Lauren Laverne - Don't Falter Hundred Reasons - If I Could The 5,6,7,8s - Woo Hoo Disc 5 David Guetta Vs The Egg - Love Dont Let Me Go (Walking Away) Tim Deluxe - It Just Won't Do Mint Royale - Singin' In The Rain Max Graham Vs Yes - Owner Of A Lonely Heart Booty Luv - Shine Beatfreakz - Super Freak Run DMC Featuring Jacknife Lee - It's Tricky 2003 Uniting Nations - You And Me Alcazar - Crying At The Discotheque Ian Van Dahl - Castles In The Sky Bomfunk MCs - Freestyler Kosheen - Catch Jakatta Featuring Seal - My Vision Angel City - (Do You Know) I Go Crazy Deepest Blue - Deepest Blue DJ Sammy - Sunlight Milky - Just The Way You Are Tamperer Featuring Maya - Hammer To The Heart Phats & Small - This Time Around Weekend Players - 21st Century

February 21, 200817 yr I guess the year 2000 and 2001 save this decade from being completely unimpressive
February 21, 200817 yr Interesting tracklist. They've tried to go for the lesser-known hits obviously.
February 21, 200817 yr Author I like the compilations with the lesser known hits...its about time Made In London's Dirty Water made it onto a compilation...
February 22, 200817 yr I like the compilations with the lesser known hits...its about time Made In London's Dirty Water made it onto a compilation... Oh I agree, I didn't mean that was bad. :o Dirty Water is a brilliant song, an underrated classic for sure. On a side note, why is Disc 5 nearly all dance songs? :o
February 22, 200817 yr Oh I agree, I didn't mean that was bad. :o Dirty Water is a brilliant song, an underrated classic for sure. On a side note, why is Disc 5 nearly all dance songs? :o They always do it! lol They try and put them in the order that they either came out or in the same genre! lol Like in the 'Never Forget 90's Classics' album Disk 3 is exactly the same Full of Dance songs of the 90's lol
February 22, 200817 yr Author Why the shock lol? I didn't realise Radio 1 had playlisted it...it would be more Radio 2 type of a song nowadays
February 22, 200817 yr Some odd choices but a lot of those are miles better than half of fthe songs actually in the top 100 of the decade
February 22, 200817 yr Author I agree, the decade has been dominated by reality pop especially the biggest selling singles
February 23, 200817 yr Author It's not 100 hits of the year 2000, its 100 hits of the entire decade so far... they probably don't have the license for Westlife tracks
