March 10, 200817 yr She didn't quite sell 7k last week. Duffy sold over 50k. Even if Duffy decreases fairly dramtically to 40k which doesn't happen these days that's a hell of a lot of ground to make up. Even if she doubles her downloads she's going to have to sell 30k physicals. I just can't see it happening, especially as charity singles haven't really performed well since McFly/Tony Christie or Band Aid (I forget which came first)... #3.
March 10, 200817 yr No2 i predict. Duffy is doing well on downloads AND physicals. I want duffy to stay no1 just coz its nice for leona to have big competition.
March 10, 200817 yr I see it being number1, unless it gets low sales for a charity single. But I'd be happy to see it getting another #1 :P
March 10, 200817 yr Downloads are going to be the most important factor here, got a funny feeling she will lose out on Downloads. its really touch and go, she could at the end of the week, when Sport Relief kicks off on Friday, Saturday will really decide the fate of the track. Hit or miss.
March 10, 200817 yr Remember tha LEONA has a lot of fans from 1 to 99 years old . She's a very very loved singer. SO N.1
March 10, 200817 yr I think she'll be number 1. I don't particularly like that style of singing but it is for charity and I actually like her - so even I may break the habit of a lifetime and buy my first charity single since the original Band Aid (yes I know .... I'm a meanie!) Norma
March 10, 200817 yr Her physical is £3.99. If it had been £1.99 or even £2.99 it could have stood a chance of #1. I think it will be #2 if she's lucky.
March 10, 200817 yr All Charity singles have been 3.99 - Band Aid 20 was coz i was going to buy it but i was like :o and look how well that sold!!

It's a nice treat for people who already have the album as both of the songs are different to the album version, the B-Side is fantastic IMO and all the proceeds go to a truly worthy cause. :D
March 11, 200817 yr Go on... you know you want to. ;) I don't mind the price tag. It's a nice treat for people who already have the album as both of the songs are different to the album version, the B-Side is fantastic IMO and all the proceeds go to a truly worthy cause. :D Agree! And its also worth noting that Leona actually co-wrote the B-Side! I dont mind the price tag either because its Leona anyway! lol
March 11, 200817 yr all the proceeds go to a truly worthy cause. :D not quite :( an estimated 77p from each single sale will go towards Sport Relief! £3.22 seems to slide in the direction of Cowell :(
March 11, 200817 yr not quite :( £3.22 seems to slide in the direction of Cowell :( Would Cowell be in it for anything else but money? You have just bought up a sticking point for me actually. I can't abide the man. Norma
March 11, 200817 yr not quite :( £3.22 seems to slide in the direction of Cowell :( No surprise there then. Greedy greedy man. :(
March 11, 200817 yr not quite :( £3.22 seems to slide in the direction of Cowell :( it doesn't though, does it? A % goes to the retailer, a % to production costs etc And does the 77p refer to the digital single or the physical single?
