June 8, 200817 yr Author Kingdom of Shadow's Entry Confirmed The King of Shadow today arrived in Kentish Town and was quite literally swamped by a part-time music journalist asking him who would be representing the Kingdom of Shadow in next week's BuzzJack Song Contest. The decision making process has been fraught with a number of artists being considered, rejected and kidnapped but as yet the search has been fruitless. However, the King has finally come to a decision! He climbed up on his pedestal to announce the news to the local pie makers who had climbed out of the communal shower to hear the news. "The Kingdom of Shadow has a proud musical heritage, in the last contest none other than Tom Jones took our great nation to 11th but we are hungry for more! This year the search for a song has been long and hard, it seems we can no longer rely on our exceedingly good cakes to attract artists to our shores but instead I have had to walk (metaphorically of course) from record label to record label in order to ensure we have the best chance of making the top ten this time round. As always, I do not disappoint. "The artist chosen is internationally renowned for her unique vocal abilities and stunning looks, after being rejected by Kopecka I immediately swooped in to comfort the mother of one and we arranged for her to represent our great nation. The single, a collaboration with the Freemasons, was released earlier this week and has been a huge hit in the Kingdom of Shadow receiving a massive two plays on the number one Radio show 'I Play, You Listen, No Questions Asked' as hosted by me. "And so I give to you: SOPHIE ELLIS-BEXTOR with HEARTBREAK MAKE ME A DANCER!" src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" data-tag="youtube" data-tagfull="<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>"><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> With this news, (once prompted) the crowd let out a great cheer! Could this see the Kingdom of Shadow into the top ten for the first time?
June 11, 200817 yr Gavin surprises at Kingdom Of Shadow Gavin Mikhail has just finished performing his entry into the Buzzjack Song Contest at the Kingdom of Shadow and recieved a shockingly good reaction. "I am outstanded at the support here for me tonight" Gavin told everyone. "I am truly thankful and greatful for the warm reception recieved here and I am glad my big Break started right here in 'The Kingdom of Shadow'." Gavin will continue his promotion tour where he is heading for Kylienips next :o How will they react?
June 18, 200817 yr Author King of Shadow Announcement And so our journey comes to an end. For sure it is a disappointment not to make it through our semi-final but rest assured we shall be back and we would like to thank everyone who supported us as well as Sophie for representing us. We would now like to throw our support behing Utopia and Ida Maria to win the 7th BuzzJack song contest ^_^
June 19, 200817 yr if it had been in semi final 2 it would have made it I reckon, not because of a weaker standard of songs but because I think perhaps it may have had more fans in that semi... same way as Kylienips would have got far more than 12 points if they had been in semi-final 2
June 19, 200817 yr if it had been in semi final 2 it would have made it I reckon, not because of a weaker standard of songs but because I think perhaps it may have had more fans in that semi... same way as Kylienips would have got far more than 12 points if they had been in semi-final 2 I agree. Sophie was looking like she'd qualify, then the last few votes really changed things.
June 25, 200817 yr Author Thanks for the comments guys, I suppose it's good to know there was nothing between us and some great song that DID qualify so I think we still did well considering the strength of our semi. Mutya Buena is Confirmed for BJSC8 After the disappointment of failing to qualify for the seventh BuzzJack Song Contest in Quotosibb, the Kingdom of Shadow is looking to throw everything at the next conest to be held in FSR Rontvia. The King of Shadow has announced; "Failing to qualify nearly gave me a heart attack, I'm far too old and have eaten far too many exceedingly good cakes to be doing with all this... I'm therefore happy to announce that I shall be doing all this again for BJSC8 as we look to try and make the top ten in a final for the first time". His majesty went on to confirm the kingdom's representing artist for the upcoming competition; "Last time round we went through all this hoo-ha with national finals and voting before eventually disregarding all the pariticipating songs in favour of Sophie Ellis-Bextor. This time round we're skipping all that out and I'm returning to the best method possible - deciding myself. Whilst on a state visit to Ashton yesterday, I stumbled across Mutya Buena, formerly of the Sugar-babies, who had been left on the streets unchosen since the third contest. 'This is simply not on!' I thought to myself and so I can confirm Ms Buena shall be representing our fine nation in the eigth contest". When asked about the song Mutya would be singing the King seemed quite guarded; "You want me to choose a song too!? Errr.... hmm, well we definately know which song she shall be singing in the competition but have chosen not to reveal it until nearer the time".
June 27, 200817 yr Author Kingdom of Shadow Announcement http://img104.imageshack.us/img104/8886/flagshadowxa0.jpg In a ceremony in the Shadowan capital of Kentish Town this evening, all major Presidents, Prime Ministers, Kings and Queens gathered from the BuzzJack World to see the Kingdom of Shadow's presentation of their entry into the eighth BuzzJack Song Contest to be held in Rontvia. Guests were invited to eat as many exceedingly good cakes as they liked before being asked to take their seats in the Shadowan amphetheatre, setting the mood for what would be an intense announcement. "Ladies and Gentlemen, I ask you to please turn your eyes to the stage as we reveil the Shadowan entry in the Eighth BuzzJack Song Contest". http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/151/kingdomofshadowborderen8.jpg zlj4NE85jjM As the video came to an end, the King of Shadow stood up to make his speech; "That is right. The Kingdom of Shadow shall begin their fightback in FSR Rontvia! "After the huge disappointment of BJSC 7 and failing to make the final, the Kingdom of Shadow was broken. But we Shadowans are not people to dwell on past defeats, oh no, we have used this frustration and upset to improve our musical knowledge and to fight back with a more powerful emotive ballad than we believe the BuzzJack World has ever seen. Mutya Buena knows our pain, and I feel this great reflection of the public's mood in 'Strung Out' can result in the Kingdom of Shadow's best result yet, by finally propelling us up into the top ten! "Thank you all for coming this evening and I hope we can rely on your support in our next musical battle. Thank you. Please leave by the exits to your left and right and the front of the amphetheatre and do take care on the stairs." To summarise the Kingdom of Shadow shall be sending Mutya Buena and 'Strung Out' to FSR Rontvia in three weeks time.
July 15, 200816 yr Author Kingdom of Shadow Production To celebrate making her way into the final, Mutya Buena tonight held a live concert in the Kingdom of Shadow to be broadcast across the world. Her set included three tracks from her album 'Real Girl' including 'Just a Little Bit', her single 'Real Girl' and, of course, her entry into BJSC8 'Strung Out'. The King of Shadow introduced her performance with this statement: "We are back! After the disappointment of not qualifying last year, I'd like to thank Mutya Buena and the Shadowan public for believing in us and helping to put us into the final of a BJ Song Contest for the third time. Most of all though I would like to thank those nations who supported us in Semi-Final 1, we really appreciate your votes and sincerely hope you have enjoyed the song as much as we have. I therefore dedicate this performance to all of you."
July 26, 200816 yr Author Mutya Finishes 23rd for Shadow A 'disappointing' evening in Rontvia for the Kingdom of Shadow climaxed in Mutya Buena finishing 23rd out of the 27 entrants in BJSC VIII. 'Strung Out' scored a total of 44 points, the Kingdom's second highest score to date but missed out by a long shot on the top ten the King had been hoping for; 'We knew it would be tough to break into the top ten but tonight all the performances were simplty incredible and we failed to score points consistently across the board. We shan't give up however, we thank Mutya for all the efforts she's been putting in and now look forward to BJSC IX!'. Margaret Berger for BJSC 9 The King of Shadow has quickly announced that Margaret Berger as the Shadowan entry into BJSC 9. 'Ms Berger is an extremely talented Norwegian artist, first recognised for her performances in the Norwegian Pop Idol. Since she has gained critical acclaim for her debut albums 'Chameleon', and more recently, 'Pretty Scary Silver Fairy''. The song she shall perform has not yet been announced but videos of some of her singles have been released: 6XE4Vg7CAvwissxl_LCULs XeGj-mefOvItgCZtRqu158 Edited July 26, 200816 yr by brunoboi
