This attacking of Geri for dressing a certain way, saying her husband must be embarrassed, belittling her choice of name… it’s so misogynistic and very anti spice girls.

Don't even try it. My criticism of her dressing as she does has nothing to do with her being a woman. Lewis Hamiliton dresses like an absolute tit too and anyone with him must be embarrassed.

You should delete your post now because you throwing round misogynistic when you obviously don't understand the word is making you look like a fool.

PREACH SAMMY!!!

Some fans use misogyny as a shield to, ironically, white knight their faves, in a misguided attempt to shield them from just criticism. That in itself is misogynistic!!!!! However, as people - and I say PEOPLE - get criticised for their politics, personas and wardrobe all the time, it's obviously VERY misguided to use the word as a panacea against any and all criticism against your fave.

I'd be embarrassed standing next to someone wearing pretentious garb like that to try and desperately fit in with the ruling "elite". It's a bad look. I thought being a Spice Girl was about standing up for EVERYONE and that everyone matters ... and not about abandoning everyone to try and get a seat with the rich and powerful. Tsk tsk. Apparently she got obsessed with the landed gentřy after meeting Charles and all those posh people.

It's more the abuse over her changing her name that is misogynistic your comment fits the anti-spice girls rhetoric which was very much wear what you want, be who you want and so on.

It's one thing to think she looks bad or dislike her image, but to say that her husband must be embarrassed by her is just below the belt. I personally find your post much more embarrassing.

I don’t think the issue is the fact she looks good or not, but what that “uniform” represents for her (if you don’t know enough about it, research about minimalism and its privileged aesthetics). And you know why I say this? It’s because she did wear a uniform once, the Union Jack dress, and put a big peace sign on the back. She went from, I’m not gonna wear the National Front to embrace the right-wing.

Wearing all white all the time and hanging around the rich is codified class. Disgraceful behaviour from anyone, let alone a Spice Girl.

I don't think her husband is embarrassed, he probably encourages it. I wouldn't be shocked though if history will repeat itself, I've had a bad feeling about him since the beginning.

What do you mean?

If I had said he must be proud of her you wouldn't say anything against it.

Let's be honest she didn't wake up and think 'oh the ONLY thing I look good in or like is white' she just thinks it makes her look upper class which is embarrassing.

Regular people cant afford to wear white constantly as it isn't practical or logical. Her constantly wearing white is like her walking round with a bar of gold constantly.

Why do fans try their best to deny this. Everything she does now she does to seem upper class and rich. Her obsession with horses (rich persons hobby), hanging around royalty like a bad smell, wearing white, writing a novel. It is pretty revolting and we all know it.

Why would I comment on something if you were nice about her for a change other than in utter shock?

You never liked Geri even when she was the in your face attention seeking showgirl, all you have ever done is slag her off and put her down so this is really nothing new it's just another excuse for you to do so. Before she was a cringe attention seeker, she had no talent, her voice was terrible, her songs was awful, her acting terrible... It's quite frankly boring how you have very little nice to say about anyone other than Emma (and to a lesser extent Mel B). You're the first to comment on people's strange obsession with Ed Sheeran and slating him, yet you do exactly the same thing with Geri and to a lesser extent Victoria and Melanie C.

Funnily Geri is by far easily my least favourite Spice Girls but some people on here are just revolting in how they think they can talk about her, she is a human being at the end of the day.

What's he said, that everything she does is designed to have us see her as a super rich landed gentŕy establishmentarian? She even complained that people still call Posh Spice Posh Spice and that she didn't get handed the title instead!!
Get a grip I'm not saying it to her.

Not even denying that you behave like an internet troll when it comes to her, I suppose there is some credit to that.

Clearly this became a heated subject (and I feel responsible for starting it off :drama: ) but let's take a step back, we don't want this to get out of hand

No hate. Geri is a Spice Girl. She has contributed to the success of the group in many ways. But as I said, that doesn’t mean we have to be blind. We can criticize her choices when it comes to status, politics, and personal life. She’s a celebrity who has been outspoken through all her career about girl power - something many people still believe in - and it turned to be a gimmick for her. But hey, maybe that’s also girl power, a woman who works hard to make ends meet in a world where poverty is a stigma, a transgender woman that fights every day to be recognized as such, and a white privileged woman who is free to dream of social environments where the rich is celebrated. There’s room for all. Cheers!

By the way, do you think she’s going to promote the book with an official launch event?

^ I thought she may do signings but I'm not sure she will want to be that close to the masses.

Your response makes no sense. I'm commenting on her lifestyle/choice of outfit on a music forum, that isn't trolling.

Again you just throw out a word like trolling because you actually don't have a reasoned argument bar 'Don't be mean!!!!!!'.

She has become unlikable and I don't mind saying that. I've come to terms with what made Geri interesting and worthwhile following she threw on the fire for this new lifestyle.
