Since July 1996 :o

The first #1 I had was The Spice Girls - Wannabe, which stayed at #1 for 14 weeks only to be knocked off by erm, The Spice Girls with Say You'll Be There which was #1 for 10 weeks.

Some fascinating facts:

Most successful female artist:

Madonna

Most successful male artist:

Eminem

Eminem's 'Stan' spent 49 weeks on the top 40, 21 weeks non consecutive at #1 and 29 weeks spent inside the top 10 and is to date the longest running song in my charts so far.

The longest consecutive run at #1 was by Garbage, who spent 16 weeks there with Cherry Lips (Go Baby Go), it went on to spend 40 weeks in total on the top 40. Garbage are also credited with having the most consective #1 singles in the chart alongside Eminem and The Spice Girls.

I started mine in August 2006 :D Sometimes I don't do it every week if I have assignments and stuff to do but I always go back and fill in the ones I missed in an attempt to catch up

My first ever top 10:

1. I Don't Feel Like Dancin' - Scissor Sisters

2. SexyBack - Justin Timberlake

3. Ain't No Other Man - Christina Aguilera

4. Hips Don't Lie - Shakira feat. Wyclef Jean

5. Promiscuous - Nelly Furtado feat. Timbaland

6. Smile - Lily Allen

7. Unfaithful - Rihanna

8. Fill My Little World - The Feeling

9. U + Ur Hand - Pink

10. Monster - The Automatic

My first chart was in April 2007 :D

Although; before that; I did a couple of weeks, then didn't for about a month; then posted again

Monthly top 50 chart since March 1996. Soon after, I retro-compiled back to January 1996 to round out the year. However in 2002 I didn't compile a chart for twelve months.

Edited by jargon

Six weeks so far.... I shall be publishing my seventh chart tomorrow. B)

I started April 2004, my chart will be 4 years old next month, so far 202 charts in total. My ever first #1 was Anastacia - Left Outside Alone, I've had 91 different #1s in 4 years, probably reach my 100th #1 later in the year.

I enjoy doing it in my spare time, my chart is beginning to slow down a bit, because there is lack of new releases, tracks are staying far longer in the chart, with tracks staying in the chart for 5 months and over. cough Valerie Cough

Did a Top 25 from 1983 - 1987 which i still have somewhere!

Then a Top 10 in 1990

Then restarted my chart in Jan 2005 as a Top 10 and have recently expanded to a Top 20.

  • 1 month later...
The Friday Chart I think has been going more than a year now or just underneath a year! Around the one year mark
  • 4 weeks later...

First one was back in 1995

The first number one was Rappin 4 Tay "I'll Be Around" :o Anyone remember that one?
