2 films spring to mind

The American Werewolf in London

The Thing (John Carpenter) is one of those rare occurrences in film-land. A remake that is actually better than the (quite brilliant) original. I had nightmares about that head sprouting legs! And the doctors arms being 'bitten off'. Not to mention the bit where the bloke digs his hands into that fella's face and drags him across the ground! Hope there's not too many spoilers in there for anyone who's not seen it yet!

Love that film!

And everytime I'm on the underground in London ... I think about that scene in AWIL (you know the one I mean!)

Seriously though - one of the scariest films I've ever seen is the original 'The Haunting' (1963) not that sh te remake with CZJ and Liam Neeson. I still cannot watch this film alone ... and the weird thing is ... you don't see anything. Its all left to the imagination coupled with brilliant sound effects.

Norma

Pet Semetary

Dead Silence

Pet Semetary was a bit of a laugh for me. There were one or two scenes that made me look through my fingers to watch - like when the kid slit the old guys ankle and mouth with the scalpel. But the whole film itself was a bit pants.

Never seen Dead Silence ... what was that one?

The Evil Dead was another matter! I love that film!

Nothing scares me really  apart from the original TCM, that is very frightening though

When I was little, Sleeping Beauty used to scare the pants off me :heehee:

Nightmare On Elm Street :magic:

Pet Semetary

Dead Silence

I found Pet Semetary was more disturbing rather and violent. The only bit I couldn't watch was when the little got killed!

I really wanna see Dead Silence, is it any good? I'm not normally scared by horror films but i've a feeling if I watch it, the film will really $h!t me up as I hate all those dolls and stuff. :(

I dont find anything scary, what gets me is the subtle things. Gore really doesnt bother me (im not some serial killer btw)

The Grudge

American werewolf in london

Night of the living dead

Blair witch project ( I saw it before all the hype and loved it. The hype made it into something it clearly wasnt)

Hills Have Eyes scared the $h!t out of me :(

Nothing else really scares me all that much tbh, I think HHE only scared me because you got to know the characters so well and some of it was just f***ed up.

No film scares me, but The Hills Have Eyes, and the remake and the 2nd remake and Saw 2 are really sick and twisted

Blair Witch Project (Really is not scary one bit, but on the night I watched it I was pretty hmm...)

WolfCreek

White Noise 2 scared me when i was all on my own in a house 1 mile away from anywhere else, in an empty room, with the light bulb not working, and a tiny 16 inch tv (so its very dark). I didn't dare get away, because that would mean switching the tv off and walking to the door in the dark

No film has really really scared me, I can probably watch most films on my own, in the dark etc....but there are plenty that make me jump  and there are also plenty that play on my mind after I've watched them and gone to bed

I watched The Eye last week, that was a good film I thought, really enjoyed that.

The Shining scared me when I first watched it, as did Dead Silence, 1408, The Grudge (1st one, I thought the second one was $h!te and laughable).

I watched a film called Joshua not long ago too, I never even heard of it until I watched it, that was really good, not exactly scary though.

The Descent, I never thought a movie could scare me, but DAMN.
