April 1, 200818 yr ^Mine is somebody like Mariah, who sings amazingly and writes her own material. Someone with talent. :wub: Roisin is brilliant also, but it's a shame she gets so little attention. Top 40 for the best song of 2008 so far is daft! :(

On its first day of release Accelerate sold just over 22,000 copies, twice as many as its nearest competitor, Duffy’s Rockferry (A&M). Meanwhile, Estelle looks set to score a top ten chart double, with her new album Shine (Atlantic / Homeschool) challenging for a position in the ten, while her single American Boy (Atlantic / Homeschool) is set for another week at number one. Elsewhere on the singles chart, The Kooks and Mariah Carey are set to score top ten hits with Always Where I Need To Be (Virgin) and Touch My Body (Def Jam) respectively, while Couteeners’ Not Nineteen Forever (A&M) looks likely to grace the top twenty. April 1, 200818 yr Your definition of a "proper female singer" is...? Someone with individuality and actual talent... Which is what's obviously missing from most of the chart friendly female singers (Mariah, Rihanna, Britney, Kylie etc...)
