I just feel people like to send songs that for one, get points based on name solely, and then they pick songs that they automatically know Buzzjack likes and refuse to take risks.

 

Everyone's played it safe at some points during this, i remember you winning in BJSC1 with a Britney Spears song, albeit a B-Side, but still im going to guess she got you some points based on name solely. People know what it takes to win, including you ^_^

I did, at that point, enter Britney mainly with the idea that it would score me higher points (despite also loving the song). But I don't plan on doing that anymore, as shown with the song I entered this time round.

 

I'm not so much dissapointed with how I did, but some other songs that really should have done better. Whatever. *shrugs* It's BJ so I really should not have expected as much anyhoo, and not really like anything I say will change anyone's opinion, haha.

I've only ever once entered a song to try and get points :lol:

 

BJSC1: Delta-Believe Again (17th) was my favourite song at the time

BJSC2: Natasha Bedingfield-Stumble (17th)...here I was playing on the famous person factor plus I know a lot of Natasha fans love this track as its not been on any UK album

BJSC3: Andreas Johnson-Glorious (8th) I wanted to enter a male vocalist and this is one of my favourite male vocal tracks of all time

BJSC4: Sara Bareilles-Love Song (1st) My favourite song of 2008...that's the one and only reason I entered it

BJSC5: Sibel-The Diving Belle (8th) The best track off my current No.1 album...I don't think many people have ever heard of her so I hope they liked the song!

my biggest thanks goes to Triodopolis as I absolutely love the Kate Vogele song and will be looking further into her back catalogue :wub:

in separate Bhangra news, I never knew Maggie Reilly (who was on Bhangra's first entry Moonlight Shadow) did the original of Cascada's Everytime We Touch :o I discovered the song yesterday and I love it :wub:

yes you recovered well! It wasn't doing very well until near the end when it suddenly shot up the scoreboard! It's a great song which I gave one of my hard fought points too :wub:

It's a shame you missed out :( You would have finished 4th if you'd voted (well, unless you gave your 12 points to any of the six songs behind you) but it was only fair that I deducted 20% of your points :P

Sometimes I wonder why I still even bother entering this. The votes are so predicatble and all the songs that do well all follow the same forumula. It's a shame that the clear four best songs in the competition are smack dab in the middle.

 

Granted, this is one of the better winners, but still...=/
