May 7, 200817 yr A lot of people want to have things if they are for free. No matter if they need them or not :) Did you watch "Married with children" Ahh Married With Children, the yankie sitcom! I had a terrible job amongst the production, of ITV`s British version called "Married For Life", with Russ Abbott, around 1995...now that was awful! Now who else remember`s that Russ Abbot version?
May 7, 200817 yr not because of the NME promotion, but because it was free from their website for a week... I still dont see how that would make them disqualified?? :S
May 7, 200817 yr I still dont see how that would make them disqualified?? :S me neither, ask the OCC :P some rule to do with previously free songs get disqualified or something...to me a sale is a sale and should be counted, but the OCC always have to have at least one or two stupid rules to make themselves look like complete tw*ts
May 7, 200817 yr I certainly wouldnt be crying if they were DSQ :D I'm not overly bothered about the act involved but I think its unfair that one of the most popular songs that people are legally paying for isn't counting towards the chart
May 7, 200817 yr Ahhh man, coldplay havent been disqualified for the free thing have they? :yahoo: :cheer:  I hope they have been DQ'd  (I think its clear that theyre my least fave band EVER!)

May 7, 200817 yr Author Who is James Fox?? its not the geezer that did the eurovision is it?? :o If so which song is it??? I didnt know he had a new one out! Yes its the same person
May 7, 200817 yr I'm not overly bothered about the act involved but I think its unfair that one of the most popular songs that people are legally paying for isn't counting towards the chart I agree. A lot of people will be paying for Coldplay to do well in the chart, and for it to get disqualified is stupid. It's just like saying every song that leaks before release can't chart because people have already downloaded it for free.

May 7, 200817 yr Martin - is Take That's Ultimate Collection still on course to re-enter the top 50? Or has it dropped back from the first mid-week prediction? Cheers Norma Batty
May 7, 200817 yr It's just like saying every song that leaks before release can't chart because people have already downloaded it for free. yeah..it's absurd ^_^
May 7, 200817 yr If its not counted, i imagine there will be a bit of an uproar followed by a change in the rules. It looks like going to itunes no1 eventually so.....

May 8, 200817 yr good stuff! I'm not a great fan of Coldplay but I'm glad they are not ineligible...it would make a complete mockery of the chart if they had been... James Fox nearing the top ten! :o
