May 7, 200818 yr Ne*Yo will be huge now... There's a distinct lack of new additions this week though.
May 7, 200818 yr Sara Bareilles up to the b-list :cheer: Hope Love Song goes top 10! US singer/songwriters aren't exactly famed for their success in Britain in recent years are they
May 7, 200818 yr Disgraceful. No wonder the charts are so slow when it's national music station for new music adds just 4 tracks to it's A, B & C list this week. There is a lot of good new music out there, but it is such a shame the powers that control the Radio 1 playlist can't be arsed to add the likes of Magic Wands, Kraak & Smaak (a great new dance tune, but obviously it is too good, and not lowest common denominator generic or 2008 remix of an old 90s classic enough for Radio 1) & Mates of State to their playlist. Whilst obviously they think Spiritualized are now Radio 2 material even though Jason Pierce is nearly 10 years younger than Madonna.

May 7, 200818 yr Such as boring playlist by Radio 1. Like Rich said why not add some new bands/acts by unknown artists, instead of just 'staying safe' as they seem to do by not adding much new talent.
May 7, 200818 yr Such as boring playlist by Radio 1. Like Rich said why not add some new bands/acts by unknown artists, instead of just 'staying safe' as they seem to do by not adding much new talent. I can see what you mean! But im happy with some of them that theyve playlisted! I wish that they'd A-List Royworld! <_< Also I wish theyd playlist Go Audio - At least B-List worthy IMO!
May 7, 200818 yr Well to be fair they have moved Does It Offend up to C-list. Their first appearance too I believe and Mystery Jets are already one stage higher than they got with 'Young Love'. Though there is a distinct lack of variety and all in all a very 'safe' playlist it has to be said :\
May 7, 200818 yr I consider radio 2 playlist to be much worse than r1, its so predictable and bland. Its as though a record company could put a new album on their desk by KT tunstall or amy macdonald and say we're relasing 4 songs each off this and they just say oh we'll playlist them all. They dont actually care if a song is good or not. Edited May 7, 200818 yr by Robintime11
May 8, 200818 yr Both lists are distinctly average, I do not want to hear the umpteenth single from Rihanna, nor do I want to be subjected to Scouting For Girls...I've never agreed with the choices Radio 1 have for the A-list, as Rich said, I've heard the Kraak and Smaak track which is blooming brilliant, why dont they add Sonny J's new track, Sebastian Tellier, the only consolation is that Nystery Jets are one list higher than their last track so at least theyve got that right
May 8, 200818 yr I'd imagine it won't be long now before Ne-Yo topples Coldplay from the top of itunes. :D
