I think it's funny how Fearne always acts so shocked about songs entering the charts on downloads alone these days.

In the late 1990s, Madonna had long since become a mature artist, turning her back on the carefree dance-pop of her early days ("Like A Virgin," "Holiday," etc.). Teenage singer Britney Spears picked up on this specific Madonna era, albeit with a more girl-next-door approach. Her coy mix of innocence and sensuality (and infectious songs) made her a superstar, and helped inspire the teen-pop phenomenon that soon dominated pop music. By the early '00s, Spears was casting about for a more adult image, and remade herself into a vixen, experimented with acting and reality TV, and had two children with the controversial wannabe rap star Kevin Federline. While her personal life preempted her musical output for a while, she seemed on the road to artistic recovery after the 2006 birth of her second child. A critically lambasted appearance on the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards and a very public custody battle with Federline worked against her, but her concurrent album release BLACKOUT bought her some credibility with the fickle music press. - HMV

I'm not a huge fan of "Believe" but, yes, she did it much better than Lil Wayne.

Good Afternoon folks!

There 6 new entries this week

At least one track is stuck in the same place

Still adore Break The Ice

It's done good to have 8 weeks in the Top 40 considering it had a peak of only #15 really ^_^

god, Break The Ice could've have an amazing video. Britney trying to bring a frozen guy back to life and heat with her sexy moves in some ice palace

I just been thinking.

Seems almost certain the top 2 will be new entries today.

Anybody know last time that actually happened? :o

LOL at them still playing Madonna in the contenders for no.1

Utah Saints' 'Something Good 08' is the biggest dance record of 2008 so far. 'Something Good 08 (Van She Tech Remix)' first saw the light of day last year, following Australia's answer to Soulwax, Van She's, reworking of the Utah's original 1992 Top 5 hit. All 3 formats feature the incredible remix by High Contrast. - HMV

Discussion Thread Here

No one mentioned that she revealed there was a new number one?!

Personally I think it's dreadful and completely takes away any suspence even if most people here know there's a new number one. They really are VILE. I don't know how anyone can listen to this c**p. :puke:

Hopefully this is the last week Utah Saints are in the chart.

And then upon playing the 'Contenders' ask if she could be number one again...

both really are thick as two short planks...

and now the show is about Fearne and Reggie and not about the top 40 :o
