June 28, 200817 yr I've nearly managed it. I've not watched one match of the competition. With no British team involved, for me it's a waste of time. As for TV coverage - it's been overkill - 2 or 3 matches every day. It's not fair on viewers that don't like football, having their favourite programs cancelled. Why couldn't they put them on BBC3 or ITV4 or something. Thank god for Satellite. Edited June 28, 200817 yr by Euro Music

People's programmes didn't get cancelled, just moved. Plus as far as i'm aware, plenty of people have been watching the matches, im sure both the BBC and ITV are pleased with the decision to show the tournament :D
June 28, 200817 yr Author What a ridiculous comment from Euro Music. I dont like Tennis, but you dont see me complaining about it eating up BBC schedules all afternoon. As for all the t**** who want to complan about "too much football" then they're sad. Home nations or not, its a once in a 4 year tournament and as football fans we are still interestedin watching good footbal... we dont switch it on and off and just get involved if england are there
June 28, 200817 yr £20m? lol... he'll go for half of that i expect he'll join City, he's not good enough for a big team But why would he take a step BACK?! He's currently the star player in both club and league having just won the UEFA Cup and now about to play Champions League football. Yet you really think he'd trade that for a mid-table Premier League side playing in UEFA Cup qualifiers?! :|

Yet you really think he'd trade that for a mid-table Premier League side playing in UEFA Cup qualifiers?! :| It's a different kettle of fish lol players like Maloney played in a Celtic team which won the Scottish league year after year, but still, they come to an English team that finishes 7-10th each season it's a different quality of life, league and he'd double his wages Arshavin would much rather goto a team without pressure, he'd be on 80k p/w at City and he could have it easy, and if he doesn't flop, sign for someone bigger, ala, Tevez and Mascherano
June 29, 200816 yr I've nearly managed it. I've not watched one match of the competition. WHY WOULD YOU IF YOU DONT LIKE FOOTBALL?? The mind BOGGLES. As for TV coverage - it's been overkill - 2 or 3 matches every day. WRONG WRONG WRONG Why couldn't they put them on BBC3 or ITV4 or something. They did you IMBECILE. Thank god for Satellite. Yeah, go back to watching Bid Up TV, MORON.
June 29, 200816 yr What a ridiculous comment from Euro Music. I dont like Tennis, but you dont see me complaining about it eating up BBC schedules all afternoon. But at least Wimbledon doesn't take over all the evening schedules on both main channels. Even in the afternoons it is on BBC2 only. Not everybody likes football. The Olympics will be on in August taking up the schedules. Even though I like quite a lot of it I still think it's again Overkill. If it was just on one channel like Wimbledon it wouldn't be so bad. It's not fair on people who don't like the Olympics.
June 29, 200816 yr Not everyone likes anything! Atleast 3/4 of us don't watch soaps, but we don't go in all of their threads and say why is this on all the time? The ratings have been good on the whole and better than what they're scheduled in place of proving that people DO WANT THEM and you're just talking utter $h!te! Big Brother is on every night and is only getting 2-4m every night, I haven;t watched any of it and have no intention of doing but have kept going in there saying 'why is this $h!te on my tv screen when c4 could be showing something interesting?' No, because although I don't want to watch it some people do! There a plenty of other channels to watch, if you can't find something decent to watch then do something esle, read a book, go out, get a life! Just stop complaining. Is it doing any harm at all? At MAX its only been on one of the channels in the evning know your stuff before spouting the utter $h!t you come out with
June 29, 200816 yr Great victory for Spain. They've been the best team in the tournament, and were BY FAR the better team tonight. The Germans could just never get into the game, and Spain were better in ever department than the Germans. Excellent goal by Torres too, and 1-0 wasn't even the tale of the story really as it should have been more. I really think they'll be the team to beat in South Africa along with Argentina...
June 29, 200816 yr Best team won on the night, out of the whole tournament though Holland should have been in the final, they were just unlucky they had a poor game in the last 16
